  1. Hope this is true, my lad is working at the Open in the media centre this week, he had a selfie with Pickers yesterday, I’ll post it when he gets home if anyone wants me to.
  2. Given our situation this seems like a sensible move, age aside he’s fit and a decent player, 1 year deal realistic on our part.
  3. Palfy, I think he’s using the B ( afraid to say it in full ) reference to illustrate what he was able to do with what he has inherited, a small, mismatched squad, and little funds to add in the immediate future, he worked on small funds at club at didnt have a great pull, exactly where we’re at ATM. Job 1 done - retain PL status Job 2 improve on what he’s been given and can get, let’s see how he gets on.
  4. Don’t mention the war, sorry Burnley
  5. Everton, relegation escapees the past two season, I think he knows the size of the task ahead TBF.
  6. That explains a lot about his attitude, dicking about with the cockiness of someone who can play much better, backed by a £3.75m salary
  7. Not good reading, but Portugal over the PL, I hope he’s more ambitious than that at 22.
  8. If that’s right and you can see it, let’s hope our astute board can also.
  9. I just feel a bit stupid and gullible for being taken in once again with the hope that change will happen
  10. I can see all parties side of this recent discussion, and I applaud those who are able to openly talk about their depression, personally I haven’t suffered with it, but my wife has, being totally debilitated by it on a number of occasions. She has removed herself from the key driver of it, work, and is in a good place once again. With regards to Delle, I think we should stop speculating, it’s not getting us anywhere regarding his future, however talking about our mental health is a good thing imo.
  11. And the 3rd round of the FA cup which is usually the first weekend in Jan.
  12. I’ve just said the same over in transfer window thread
  13. I’m a bit surprised we didn’t trigger the purchase option, £4.5m was a good price, does this mean there’s changes afoot and we don’t need to look so much a bargain basement options………….
  14. Bloody hell the Echo is just so poor in its quality, their article reads like The Toffees and Everton are two different teams with the bit Matt has copied over. To save anyone clocking to the echo, it should read with Coady 29 in 23 and without 27 in 14.
  15. I’m not saying it’s the only place we should be looking, but it’s highly likely we won’t have money to splash around, and we don’t seem to have the ability to recruit like Brighton and Brentford atm, I wish we did, as probably do all teams in the PL, it’s not a flick a switch and it will happen process, so we need to be realistic as to where we are. We were nearly relegated, we have England’s No1, it’s widely reported he’s wanted by a number of clubs, there are a few good opportunities to pick up players who will add to the quality of our squad that the relegated clubs will need to offload due to wages, again it could have been us having to offload our best.
  16. Played as if he knows he’s got a love lined up and didn’t want to get injured, for a bloke of his size he backed out of far too many challenges, did pick up bit towards the end though.
  17. Showed all the promise we hoped for when he signed, one of the first names on the team sheet now.
  18. Same again yesterday, he was the main cause of anger around where I sit. I’d be happy to move him on if there’s profit and reinvest in a more consistent player which we need atm.
  19. We’re still in a mess after scrapping through yesterday, new financial backing will still have to work within FFP rules, so we’re not going to be big spenders. I was thinking last night who would I take from the 3 teams who dropped and from Championship, although I don’t know a great deal about many. Southampton, Ward Prowse yes, but I think he’s off to a team higher up than us. Leeds, Jack Harrison Leicester Dewsbury Hall, Barnes, Castagne Gyorkeres, looked good on Saturday. I would take Billings, he controlled Bournemouth’s tempo yesterday and bangs in a few goals.
  20. Thank you Cornish for all the hard work you put in collating. I can’t bring myself to predict a loss, so here’s hoping next year I’m way ahead all season
  21. James Garner, playing out of position, but it didn’t really show. He has to be one of the first nam3s on the team sheet from here on. All except Onana runners up.
