It’s about time we had a song for him, we were regaling Super Frank after a few games last year( understandable after the shit show of FSW). I think he’s doing a great job with the limited resources he has.

We should go into Saturday feeling confident that we can match Utd and get a win, after the resilience shown last night.

From the little I’ve seen from Garner, I think he would be better as the more advanced of a midfield three than Onana, what is nice is that we seem to have a few options. Iwobi in the centre does seem to be his best position if we can work the other positions out properly.

I agree with all of this but the thing that most annoyed me with him tonight was how passive he was Me too, he backed out of a couple of tackles that he could and should have won, late in the game when we were attacking on the left side in particular. Hopefully it is the managers instructions he’s playing to, but he’s got more in his locker than we’re are seeing.

I wouldn’t go as far as that, but I do think we were the more dangerous team in attack, with the ever present issue of not being able to take our chances when we made them, Gana and Doucs’s efforts in particular. It was a very open game, I dont remember Pickford having to make any spectacular saves. Kane gets away with so much, but Doucs was just plain stupid, and lashed out, maybe he was hangry? im really happy with how resilient we now are, all the flakiness we showed under Frank had gone, and we’re producing a little bit of exciting football. As long as we keep players fit and they do t run out out steam, I’m growing more confident in staying up, and securing it ahead of the final day. Another memorable night under the lights at Goodison.

Why do you think we will play survival football next season if we survive this? Dyche has come in when we were the laughing stock of the game, he’s steadied the ship gained points, some against teams no one gave us a chance, all without a recognised CF. If the numpties give him the money to buy the right striker and a few other positions why wpuld we be playing survival football?

He’s playing with a big smile on his face, tells all, he clearly wasn’t happy under Franks style.

I haven’t seen the game, only listened, we were clearly on the back foot for most of the game, I’m really pleased we seem to be getting better at grinding out results in games where we would have lost under previous managers. At this point I’m not bothered about how pretty we look, it’s PL survival first, then start to work on being more attractive with results once we’re secure.
