Last point...never easy giving up 6 at home but I would so much rather do that (occasionally  ) than watch what we went through last year. I have never been more discouraged in 15 years as an Everton fan than i was just 6-8 months ago. We will never be top 4 if we don't try to play against them. Trying to go toe-to-toe with the big boys also helps us play better football, and take more points, off the lower teams. It's not happening yet and we shouldn't expect it to! This is a slow build. We lost 6-2 at home and we are still miles and miles ahead of where we were just in May. Patience is difficult, I screamed multiple obscenities yesterday I'm not proud about, but I see a team being constructed carefully and thoughtfully. That's where the bar is now thanks to Koeman and Sam. 

I have been his biggest crtitic and think he was given enough time last season but what i realised was that was in a side which didn't create chances. I agree with his attitude and I have never really faulted his workrate and aggression more his ability at finishing but having looked at the stats all be it over 10 games I think he has changed my mind. If he is given the rest of the season I can see him getting 15 -20 goals. The other thing having him gives us is richy plays in the wide position which he is much better suited too. I really wanted tosun to come good and but i don't think he can hack it in this league enough. Interestingly walcotts scored 4 this season in a better system I want him and richy on the wings as the first team and given DCL his game time.

Spurs were by far the best team we’ve faced at home this season, we lost our mojo after the first goal and got rolled over. May have been a different games if our 2nd had been given. 
most frustrates by how easy Spurs picked up the rebounds for the 2nd and 3rd goals.
Marvo has a major job in rebuilding our confidence for the Burnley games. 

If we rushed in to something and made a complete hash of it, we would all be whinging "typical Everton"

He's not an upgrade, far far too inconsistent, Saturday was one of his good games, cue a run of nothing for a month or so.

I think the lad is going to be a superstar. He has rough edges for sure but he is a game changer and is probably worth double what we paid for him 

I agree on the loyalty bit, other than does he see us as the team that gave him the chance to resurrect his career, and value being around other Portuguese speakers or nationals? I hope so.
Living in London could be a major pull or it could be the opposite, some love a big city, some don't, and on a footballers wages the cost of housing doesn't really have much of an impact on their decision to where to live, it's only us mere mortals it affects.

We're crying out for a genuine number 9. Richarlison is game but he's not a natural there, let's get the best out of him on the wing. All out for Callum Wilson for me, sell Tosun and Walcott to fund it if needs be

That's exactly what I want to see Matt, when DCL came on last night we started to win the aerial punts, which Richie wasn't doing. I think DCL is very good at winning the aerial challenges, and we could really benefit from his knock downs, plus a bit more game time will give him more confidence in front of goal.

Agree mostly, though it’s his emotions getting the better of him that pisses me off the most. His ball retention is ok, but certainly not his strength, which is why I’m not happy with him playing up front. The lad clearly has talent on the wing and making runs off the front man. Give DCL a chance up top, let Richarlison profit from the knock downs and hold up play.

As a defender he still does a good job for us, (when he's not giving away penalties 👎) going forward, his delivery is poor, it's either a horrible little dink with no power or over everyone's head, something he will never change now, for me another full season rotating with Jonjoe helping him on his defensive work as he's much better than Seamus going forward.

Exactly. Replace these guys with better quality and make them the back up. No need to sell everyone who loses their place. Losing any of Seamus, Baines and Jags would be terrible for the squad.

Yes his delivery wasn’t the consistent quality we have been use to this season.
 
But I think you are all forgetting, he should have had 2 assists against Newcastle.
 
He found Gylfi in the box who had the goalkeeper to beat after a neat touch, but chose the wrong side of the goal and his shot was blocked by a defender.
He also belted a ball which found Cenk’s boot half a meter from the goal line, and it was saved.
