Me too Bailey, best we don't rush him back, although mentally he may want to play at least once this season and not miss a complete one.

Wiggytop got a reaction from MikeO in Liverpool (FA Cup Away) Friday January 5th
I was lucky enough to be at the game last night, albeit in with the wrong crowd, we got tickets from a relative who holds a senior position in a major broadcaster.
we were in the Dalglish stand, totally surrounded by home fans, I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life, not being able to vent my emotion, and hearing the vile abuse of everything Everton related, we got some dirty looks when we couldn't suppress a muted "get in" when Siggy equalised. It was brilliant hearing our supporters throughout the game while sitting with the home crown, but I so wished we could have been in with them.
Liverpool were there for the taking last night, particularly after we equalised, Sam should have kept DCL on and gone two upfront, McCarthy and Bolasie were gassed and needed replacing.
Niasse should have been covering the post when they scored, basic error.
Martina was dreadful, he either  gave the ball away, or failed to win his tackles, failed to put any crosses in.
Rooney was stupid, early bad tackle made when no real pressure put him on thin ice for the rest of the game.
Holgate clearly thought he had been verbally abused, on TV. Replay you can see how he responds when he hears whatever was said, clearly incensed, and if true, it will be interesting to see if as mention earlier how his teammates will respond.

Niasse isn'tt up to being the lone striker, he didn't win any aerial challenges last night, DCL wins significantly more, and brings other players into the game better. Neither are enough for us to push for a European place if played on their own, and I see Niasse as an impact sub rather than being in the starting 11.

We make it far too easy for teams to play against us, as we let them pass across their lines without putting any real tackles in. mcCarthys introduction brought our first string of aggressive but fair tackles this season ( Gana TBF has won a few but not particularly strong) if we're letting teams do that, it's all,too easy for them to know they can move the ball around without any real challenges coming in. There must have been at least 10 half arsed challenges from Keane and Schniederlin last night that failed to win the ball. Yes we will get some yellows,  it I'd rather one for a touch tackle, than the inevitable trips were end up making as we're chasing the ball ( Keane bottled out of a tackle which led to Rooney booking if remember right)
If fit McCarthy has to be a starter on Friday.

I like Gana, his energy is vital to the team IMHO.
Having been to every home game this season, him and Schniederlin just don't work well together.
I've not seen Schniederlin launch any attacks yet, he's great at going sideways or backwards. He used to be better, don't know what's happened to him.
Gana does get caught out of position and on th wrong side of his man at times, but he is far more positive in all aspects of his game, if he could work on his shooting skills, he would be so much better.

I want us to strengthen the team but not too many, how many of us were critical that we had brought in too many in the last window and the issues it caused.
LB and proven striker should be enough with the returning injured players for me.

OK Not as influential as Wednesday night. Two free kicks in the first half were dire, straight onto goalies arms. 3rd kick came up in similar position, Rooney shooed him away and took it.
he wasn't running around helplessly as he had been in earlier games, but didn't seem to win any aerial challenges that he had.
A steady 7 would be my rating, which is significantly better then he was getting early part of the season.

So after last nights brilliant result, and F Sams confirmation as manager, I'd like to see Rhino be given a more prominent role with a view to being developed to be read y to take over at the end of Sams contract.
The passion and  and feeling he has for the club was 100 % evident at the end of the game last night, and dare I say thsame from the fans in the ground.
if Sams that good surely we should make it part of his remit to work with Rhino and help develop him ready to be our next manager, who takes over the helm in better circumstances than he did 5 weeks ago, a lesssr man would have crumbled IMHO.

I'm ready to be shot down in flames 🔥 but don't think I will apart from a couple of people out there.

I read at the weekend the average term for. PL manager is 13 months, so I'm not so sure that's a valid point, yes you would want to sign for a team with a manager you will get on with, but it's likely to change in the near future again.

No, would seriously have to consider renewing my season ticket if he comes here, he's toxic

I'd much rather we aim high for someone like Simione than trawl the depths of dross with fat Sam, hopefully it does show that all the crap about Sam being in the picture is all sky talk and rubbish.

Wiggytop got a reaction from MikeO in Leicester City (Away) Sunday October 29th
We were poor yesterday, the set up first half looked positive, something we've all been wanting - some width, but we were rippped apart by Vardy and Grays pace, at 2-0 we were always going to struggle. The team has lost all confidence, and look like a rabbit in the head lights at times. I lost count on the number of times 2 or even 3 players went for the same ball and failed to even win it, it was like watching pinball. The first goal came about because Baines failed to beat the first man with the free kick, which put us on the back foot, the same happened with his corners also, that never used to happen, another sign of loss of confidence?
Should we have put Mirallas in to a second striker position and brought on Lookman, rather than using Niasse ?
Kenny was unlucky with the 2nd goal, felt he recovered well and was OK, we've been asking for him for ages, we need to let him settle in to the team, I'll take him over Martina every day.
williams and Jags tougher are just to slow, Holgate with Jags would have been my choice.
Just hope the lads can bounce back and start getting some results starting hopefully on Thursday, but defiantly Sunday.

Glad he's gone, and there's no sympathy from me, at £6m  pa there's  enough dough around the shit sandwich to make it taste OK.
For us lesser mortals, yes loosing your jab sucks, but it's not the end of the world.

Yesterday was more than just a bad day at the office, it was the culmination of Koeman messing about with team selection and formation, the back 3 was he selected was never going to be able to hold firm against Arsenals speed and passing skills, they were waltzing through us immediately. If didn't change all game, the players are afraid of themselves and taking a shot, DCL gave his all, he will develop in to a good striker I think.
ive not watched Sanchez live before, but having seen him yesterday he's a littlesh*t, he was telling the ref where we were to take our free kicks from and asking for a card at every tackle, how he didn't get a card himself baffles me, and the worst bit is we let him get away with it all game, a team with confidence wouldn't have let that happen.
left the ground feeling totally disinterested, and will feel the same until Koeman goes. Can't say I'm enjoying my first year  as season ticket holder.

I think that's exactly where we will be, I can't see any changes or improvement from Koeman in the way he is motivating and setting the team up, he looks like a defeated man, a stubborn one who won't do the decent thing and resign accepting he's got the whole process wrong here. I can understand people's concerns about Unsy being ready, but he's 44, not a kid, if he's ever going to be good enough to be a top manager, now is the time for him to do it imho
