If we got rid of Tosun and Niasse then signed Mandzukic and another young striker, it would be a master stroke. The bloke has been a world class striker for the past however many years - on a 1 or 2 year deal his mentality/quality would be priceless. Imagine being Calvert-Lewin and getting to train with this level of player everyday - it’d surely improve his game.

To put this into context, we signed Gomes for £22 million so selling Lookman for the above price means we've essentially acquired André for free. 
I really liked Ademola and had high hopes for him, especially after that goal against Manchester City but three managers have had a look at him and neither are willing to give him a run in the first team (remember that Brands will have had a big say in his Everton career too).
Whilst I do think that he can go on to be something special I trust the powers that be at Everton to make the right call. Since Brands and Silva started working together they have got a lot of things right so let's hope this is another wise move to fund other signings in areas we need to strengthen.
Let's not forget that Lookman hasn't had his heart set on Red Bull for a while either, it's a miracle he didn't depart last summer.

You must know a thing about why Delph ended up at City. It's because the home-grown quota, that is mandatory for every club participating in the Premier league to have at least 8 players (from those 25 men registered for the first team), who are comming through the ranks of English based clubs. The same criteria applies for continental football too. So, with all international superstars Man City have at their disposal, they need a few like Delph - useful English guy, who can fill that quota. With our decision to sign foreign backup goalkeepers, we need a few like him too. Bear in mind that Schneiderlin is considered home-grown too, perhaps a reason we're not trying hard to get rid of him.

Broadhead looks like he might have a part to play this season.

I am watching on the official site (STH's get the game streamed) and they've been saying that there were technical difficulties leading up to the match - the official broadcast went live a minute and a half late so keep trying if the YouTube links are dead, chances are they are playing catch up and behind due to the official stream being poor.

We've just scored too, but ruled out for offside! Not sure what the reasoning was as it looked onside, pretty much all Everton too in the opening 15 minutes. André Gomes and Morgan Schneiderlin with Tom Davies at the top of a midfield triangle - Nathan Broadhead getting a lot of the ball on the left wing which is good to see. 
Not seeing much of Kevin Mirallas although he has been wedged as a makeshift right-back. Despite putting in the effort there's nothing up top from Oumar Niasse who appears to be a second behind to each ball, hardly influencing the game at all. 

Having a footballer up front and not some fella with a lovely smile might help with that. 

Holgate has made a couple of really solid tackles so far.

Europa League needs looking at (as does CL); starting this early with so many entrants is absurd; playing today are such giants as B36 Tórshavn, RoPS Rovaniemi, Pyunik, Shkupi, Ordabasy, Torpedo Kutaisi, Teuta Durrës, Alashkert, Petrocub-Hincesti, Laci, Trans, Flora, Radnicki Nis, KuPS Kuopi, FC Vitebsk, and Sabail; I could go on but those are just a few that I've never heard of in fifty years of following European competitions.
I think it needs complete restructuring, maybe a lower level trophy for sides like this to actually compete in. Personally, that aside, I'd like it to go back to the way it was, Champions League (European Cup) competed for by Champions only, as the name suggests (I realise you can't put the genie back in the bottle so no chance of it ever happening); Cup Winners' Cup reinstated for Cup Winners and the third tier which has been known as Inter-Cities Fairs Cup/UEFA/Europa over the years drastically streamlined.
