Finally, since the early pandemic stage, I am able to sit down on a weekend and watch a game. Beers, potato chips, Everton... All ready, all good. Good luck!

The issue with Tosun has been his physicality to play the one up front role that was asked of him under previous managers. His finishing and touch is generally good. If you look at how Ancellotti is playing DCL then it would suit Tosun better than previous managers.
He isn't going to set the world alight any time soon, but I could see him chipping in with a couple of goals and assists if he is needed regularly enough.

    you sure?
I am here but mostly reading nowadays as I am busy as hell and don't have much to watch games. So I do not share my opinions as I might have missed many things already.
Regarding your other post, It is not a case that Besiktas not made a move because of he is offered to our rivals. We simply do not have money. We couldn't make a move for many, we weren't even active actually on the transfer window so that news is simply bullshit.

Cenk was the first to react to Gomes,  and has also said some great things since. No matter what how people rate his ability, his character cannot be questioned. Great guy! He’s just catapulted his self to one of my favourites after that.
    Top Man!

He's supporting his national force. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong, people could share the same view with British forces and the place they have been in the past 20 years.
The big drama is that it's not relevent to football. Keep your political opions to yourself on the pitch it isnt the place to express them.

I am not gonna honor some non-sense comments here with an arguably long post but if we are talking about military salute:

    J.J. Watt
    Lee Keun-ho in WC 2014
    Griezmann at his best

If we are talking about genocide, let's summon some native americans, armenians, algerians and jewish people. I think they have more things to say than any of us who can not understand what is a "genocide" here.
Turks and Kurds (while millions of Kurds living in peace in Turkey) sharing a long past of disagreement. It started with the founding of PKK (YPG is a variant of it in Syrian borders) and their terrorist acts in the past. I am not going to lecture any of you with it but in summary both Turks and Kurds did some mistakes. Neither Turks nor Kurds are  as pure as the driven snow. If you are interested, check unbiased sources online before using the word "genocide".
There is another hint for you to dig in online. Why middle east this important? Iraq, Syria and others... Check out global warming, which soils will be affected most and which soils will be the source of "water". Why seperatist Kurds are being supported is easy to see then. Stop making naive comments.
Anyway, I hate discussing politics. I hate politics, guns and warfares... Stupid humanity will be self destroying itself soon.

Regarding Cenk's and other players' military salute... Bullshit and self-seeking act. Nationalism are being raised again in Turkey as it is being raised in EU and US as well, so it is a definitely self-seeking act but it doesn't and shouldn't make them guilty.

He’s (presumably) showing support of his countryman / soldiers risking their lives. That’s patriotic by definition
The cause for which they’re fighting is nationalistic, but that’s not defined by the people on the ground, it’s the government.
put it this way, I’ve got massive respect for soldiers who went to Iraq etc. I completely disagreed with the reasoning for sending them there

Part of being a football fan, especially a Blue, is learning to celebrate the highs for as long as possible and forget the lows as soon as possible. I'm sorry but this just fucking sucks. We had so much momentum coming into the season, a pretty good transfer window and an easy set of fixtures to start. Add to that 3rd/4th (Champs League) is more open this year than it has been in the last 3 years and it's the perfect storm of hope, optimism and faith. Well fuck me Everton has done it to me, to us, again. I feel stupid, ashamed, embarrassed all of it but I also love this club so I'm not going anywhere...

Agree with some of this, disagree with some of it. Wanting your wide forwards to score plenty doesn't mean you have to play like Liverpool with Firmino as a false 9. Look at City, their front 3 all bang them in. I do agree about adjusting to the players you have, though. Which brings me to a point about DCL - if Silva wanted to play the withdrawn 9 card and get Richarlison/Bernard scoring, why the hell did we spend all of Saturday launching high crosses into the box against three big, rugged CBs without our best target man on the pitch? It was embarrassingly naive, even worse when he brought Tosun on (who just isn't remotely good enough, I'm afraid).
I am with you, though. I'd like to see him at least try a 4-4-2, I think it's the only way we'll get a tune out of Sigurdsson. I worry about centre mid especially without Gomes and Digne and Coleman would have to play as traditional full backs, but it's worth a go.

Sir McGiven reacted to Bailey in Bournemouth (Away) Sunday September 15th
I come away from that game thinking that we didn't play that badly, especially not to end up losing 3-1 to Bournemouth. We largely dominated the game, we had more chances and we looked like the better team that were more likely to score and then one mistake followed another and we are back to last season, or you could argue the several seasons before that.
Pickford was largely left stranded for all of the goals and was solid throughout.
Digne was quieter than normal. I thought he was very average in the first half and whilst he improved in the second he still struggled to beat the defender with his cross.
Keane was terrible. He gave the ball away too often, he was caught ball watching several times but got away with it and then on the last goal he wasnt on the same wavelength as the rest of the side.
Mina was my MOTM. He was dominant in the air. He had no trouble at all with either CF and his ability to play out from the back is a very underrated asset especially as he is very composed when doing it.
Coleman was his usual self. Full of energy and heart but didn't add any quality when he got forward.
Schneiderlin played well. He dropped off a bit when the game was gone but defensively he was very good and whilst he was relatively safe with his passing he was tidy and linked well. Him and Delph looked a solid partnership.
Delph would have been MOTM on his first half display. He was everywhere and what impressed me the most was that his passing was aggressive. He plays a lot of vertical passes rather than simple and safe side to side balls and he transitioned the play superbly. He then played a couple of sloppy sideways balls in the second half (Rooneyesque) and then God knows what he was thinking for the goal. Its the same thing I saw at City. Real promise, let down by moments of poor decisions.
Siggy didnt really get into the game enough. Again I dont think he was poor and there was a number of times when him and DCL were in each others way. As the second half wore on there were also signs of him not being as sharp but he had toiled for 60 minutes with not much help from the man next to him.
Richarlison played well albeit he also dropped off in the second half. Unlucky to strike the bar with a dipping strike, probably should have done better with a header too and maybe a further shot in the second half and he had a couple of through balls that were slightly over hit but he was full of endeavour and at times he was playing as the striker, number 10 and winger. I think the international break probably took its toll on him at the end.
Iwobi was another that was a bit quiet to start with but he got better and better as the game went on and his link up play with Siggy and Digne got better and better. He did well when he played more centrally too. There were a couple of times that he just couldn't finish off a good run or passing move and on another day I imagine he would have bagged at least a goal or an assist.
DCL looked well off it today. I thought he was lethargic (for his standards) being caught on his heels a lot and he seemed to be on a completely different wavelength to the others. There must have been around 3 or 4 occasions that simple balls when to him and he immediately lost control as those behind him were pushing on. I know he scored but lets face it, that is the only way he will score at the moment. I am surprised it wasn't chalked off either as he clearly pushed and then had his arms on Cook's shoulders hampering his ability to get off the ground.
The subs didnt bring a great deal to the game but not for the first time they were too late. Silva can't legislate for the goals they scored in the second half but Kean should have been on at half time, or certainly much sooner at 1-1 and certainly not when the game had gone.

Ok to Niasse can run around a bit too. Are you suggesting he has anything else, especially from a technical perspective that marks him out as a premier league player?
Well I can tell you that a footballer will want to play with other footballers. You cant predict what Niasse is going to do, at any point. His movement,  his touch, his passing. You cant play with any confidence alongside someone like that. Tosun might not be able to run as quick but you get the ball to his feet and most times he will control it and be able to move the ball on.
Tosun still works very hard and presses. Niasse is a bit quicker but there isn't any difference in the work rate IMO. The overall ability of Tosun is far greater though.
We are talking about a very small sample size and that Niasse's goals came in a style of football which couldn't be further from the type of football we play now.
I don't get the second part though. I was arguing the point that DCL doesn't score much either but the argument for him is that he offers much more than the stat line. That then contradicts the support of Niasse because he offers little in open play but did have that spell of scoring goals. Not that he has scored much recently mind you.
In a completely different style of football. Comparing their stats for Everton is pointless because of the difference in football between now and then. Tosun scored a few under Allardyce too but he was less suited to it than Niasse. Tosun is far more suited to Silva than Niasse is, was or ever has been.

I appreciate his willingness to fight. When/if he leaves he won't go with a bad reputation. I would love to see him come into the side and score some goals, as I believe he is the most natural finisher we have.

His father declared on a radio show yesterday that turkish teams are asking about his situation at Everton to loan him at least but Cenk is up to fight for a place at Everton and will remain as an Everton player.
So at least we know that he doesn't want to come back to turkey, which is the best for him IMO, but not sure about finding a place for himself as an Everton player here. Kean is young and very talented striker, DCL is not better than him especially in the box but his pace is vital in EPL so if Silva going to use 1 striker, DCL will be his second choice. Well, let's see if he can make any difference this year if he stays...
