The ball to DCL for his goal was superb, the only one of our midfield who could see a pass like that.

It's been coming since the "Premier" League was founded. Chipped away at the soul of the sport, of clubs, exploiting peoples emotions for profit at any opportunity.
The more I write, the more I wonder why the fuck I still bother. If it wasn't for this place I probably would've said goodbye when Moshiri took over.

But that stats are showing we're creating more, a lot more, vs last 2 years?
Like I said further up, there's nothing to be happy about but plenty to be optimistic about. The squad is adapting, change just takes time and patience.

There is very little we can do about Moshiri selling to 777, so we may as well get behind it and help rejuvinate the club on the back of new owners. We wanted Moshiri and Kenwright out. Looks like we are getting it.
The club is obviously in trouble and not looking in a great place financially. 777 must have confidence in the professionals they have in there organisation to make Everton a better 'club'.
If their ultimate goal is to 'sell' the club and make a profit in 5 or 10 years time, I don't have a problem with this. To make a profit or make the biggest profit then they have to get the club to a better place, both off and on the pitch. Making Everton great again is in 777 best interest. It will not be from selling the family silver so to say.
They might be looking for fans to also spend more. However, if you get good value in what we are expected too buy be it beer or food outside the stadium or insurance or flights through sister companies etc then this can only be a good thing long term. Revenue is going to be key, but not a problem if we get value for our money.
There will be changes, and some we probably we will not like. However, to be a Premiership club and a good one at that, we have to play the corporate game now. We are going to have to expect to pay higher match day ticket prices etc. I am sure if we got to see some decent football that would be more palatable. Sadly some may be priced out.
777 make have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette, it may feel worst before it gets any better.
It's all very much fingers crossed.

Unfair criticism of him just now.
The team, in my opinion, is now shaped really well (in context to where we have been!) to both create and score goals.
If that doesn't happen, then it's fair enough to call him out.
We are, at the end of the day, a bottom third team. We'll see more shit than good no matter who is manager.
I personally think he knows what he wants to do and is working towards that. He's never going to set the world on fire and give us all errections but if he can give us a bit of security, it's job done.

I’m torn. Part of me says we need to stick with and at least give him a chance. He’s barely had time to put his stamp on the team and we’ve had key players out (in a team with no depth).
On the other hand, I don’t feel he’ll last the season anyway, so why prolong the agony.
But then on the other hand, we can’t keep changing managers every 5 minutes.
But on the other hand, we are abysmal to watch.
FFS, you need at least four arms to support this team!

Don't see the point of sacking him, that's what we have done for the last 10 years, that's why we are were we are, give him 3 years then judge him, if we go down we go down and come back stronger, we have got to stop this sacking the manager as some sort of plan to avoid relegation.
Its been said on here many times keep doing the same thing, keep getting the same results.

Don't think there's anything to be cheerful about, mate. There are signs to be optimistic about though. I just don't see the fans being patient enough to find out.

No, they won't. There's 38 games to decide a season, still 30 to go after those 4 (think my maths is right ).
This stuff always winds me up, in general I mean, not you specifically Patto. The BBC have become so bad at it now, calling matches as 6 pointers after 2 games. Its just fucking stupid and it's that kind of nonsense that led to us getting the fat twat.
Can we all just give the guy who's not even been here 8 months yet an actual chance please? Change takes years, we've not given a manager that long since Martinez and even then not quite 3 full seasons...
So stop whining and feeding the media machine. We don't have an identity yet? No fucking shit, he's been here less that 8 months and had 1 actual window to make changes. 1!!! "Urgh, it's so boring, we've got no pattern, no identity". Fuck off. Not 1 single manager in the world establishes their identity in 1 window or 8 months, not even Pep and especially not whilst the club is a dumpster fire off the pitch and the relationship between the fans and board is so toxic.
This shit is a large part of the reason we're in the clusterfuck we're in; impatient fans expecting immediate/far too short term change so our clueless, yet very generous owner, goes and chops the manager and we wait another 6 months and a window before running out of patience with the next one.
We need to own our part in this and that starts by being patient. Our league performances, Villa aside, have been very positive vs the past few years. There's a bit of an identity forming if you look close, and the work ethic is so much better. Plus we now have a striker. So please, don't feed the media trolls and take deep breathes this season, because it will be a bumpy ride. But we'll be mid-table by Christmas, reinforce with 1-2 in January and be safe by end of Feb. That's a bloody good improvement and very possible. But not if we feed the media trolls who get Moshiri all flustered into stupid changes.
    Come on you fucking Blues

We've brought in Ashley Young, Jack Harrison, Arnaut Danjuma, Beto, and Youssef Chermiti - and "the squad is on its bare bones"? I can't agree. We might miss Iwobi, but we won't miss Gray or Maupay or Davies or Holgate. This is a stronger squad than before the transfer window.
