Sean Dyche has done a superb job with a toxic club, with no no one at the helm, and lumps of concrete thrown at him every 5 mins, points deduction. no money to spend, non existent board room, all taking a big pay off, and making the club more venerable. Also a bunch of players who have thrown no end of managers under the bus, he stood strong.
Well done Sean, it might not have always been pretty or easy on the eye, that will come with time and a few better players.
But a big thanks from me for the job you have done, at 70 years old they have not been relegated in my lifetime, long may it last.

sounds to me like Dyche dished out some home truth that everybodies got to get are shit together, pull together and roll up sleeves to get this job done themselves. No magic wand coming.
Fair do's to his management of them and fair do's to the players for rolling those sleevs up. 4 wins in 5 is good going when your under the kosh.

Well your tone has gone from "hang him from his ginger bollocks, he's a bully, he's the worst" (paraphrasing, not looking for direct quotes) to patting him on the back for a job done after a couple of wins and saying he'll have done his job... But you're right, you're usually frustratingly stuck to your position  don't get me wrong, this version of posting is a lot more desirable!
Fair enough but that's more appealing to mercenaries, no? We've seen that enough over the last few years and that's more of a worrying proposition in my view; it's a large part of of the reason we are where we are. But we've done that part to death already.
See, I do see us needing him for another 2-3 years, unfortunately. Not because I want him to even though I think he could do more and deserves that chance. There's so much still going on which is going to take a lot longer than 12-14 months. When I've done Continuous Excellence implementations, for example, the sponsors and board understood that to change mentality whilst rolling with life's punches was a 10-20 year project. Partly due to external factors, but mostly down to staff churn - very hard to change a mindset of a group if you keep chopping and changing the mission and staff, almost impossible if you're constantly switching the team lead.

I always laugh when you make his point. You're the poster with the most extreme posts in both ways, positive and critical, in my eyes
He's absolutely a firefighter and the club is still on fire. Ironically, it's the only part of the club thats actually improved! I really don't see that settling next season or the season after after to be honest. With a change of owners coming, with a change of home, fire sale of the squad coming... I ask who, again, would be crazy enough and good enough to get this team performing better than a mid table club? I know you can't or don't want to name names but my point is that if you're so clear on the problems, I would assume there'd be some ideas about how or who to fix them would.
I'm not aiming to dig or tease here. Genuinely curious to hear about alternatives as I keep hearing this complaint about things not being good enough but with no ideas on how to improve. Things like passing and finishing is 100% on the players, the manager isn't on the pitch and is putting tactics in place that has dramatically improved our defence whilst creating a lot more chances. I've no idea who does a better job with this squad in this situation.

I agree with those who are championing have a bit of stability in the management department. At the moment there is very little continuity at this club, so wouldn't change the management team unless we absolutely have to.

I think Dyche has done much better than most of the managers we have had in the Moshiri period with much fewer resources and he's had a lot more issues and problems to deal with. Not a high benchmark I must admit, but there has and very much still is over ridding reasons why managers struggle here. I wouldn't doubt any replacement manager coming would find the Everton job easy.
I don't think there have been that many bad performances (5-6 maybe), they may not have been asthetically pleasing, but most haven't been stinkers, I still think we actually deserved more wins/draws that we have ended up with to date. I don't think we have been riding our luck in the games in which we have got results, most points won have been deserved. In an alternative universe when point deductions don't exist and you get a little be more of the rub of the green, we could have just as easy have been in a push for a European spot. Just off the top of my head I still don't understand how Fulham, Wolves and Luton stole 9 points off us at home in the first few weeks of the season - Boom, just considering those 3 games and no points deduction - performance wise we could easily be sitting 8th with 50 points. All ifs and buts, but we have not been far off getting the points West Ham and even Newcastle has to there name this season.
If we hadn't be artificially 'stuck' in the relegation zone all season, there would be very little talk of swapping Dyche out next season.

I'm hoping it's not a 24/7 search...... last time that happened it took over 10 years.
"hello my name is Sheikh Mansour and I want to buy your football club - please may I speak to the owner?"
"Sorry love you just missed him - he popped his head in to sort out Tony Bellews match tickets and he's back off doing a 24/7 search for a buyer..... I can pass on a message if you could complete a non disclosure agreement...... hello - you still there?"

I know people are making a joke out of his outfit change (and it is funny!) but I did like his explanation for it.
They’d asked the players to do some different things since the Chelsea game and the honest conversations they’d had, so he wanted to show them that he was doing different things too.
It’s only a small thing, obviously, but I think it sends a good message that they’re all in this together.

We know the league is bent - just our luck that Forest are making the fight using examples vs us! We have been absolutely shafted by bad decisions and could put a 10 minute tape together.
if I was a forest fan I'd be thinking "we ain't getting any of those 4 points back"
masters and his cronies will be very angry today.  We know they don't like people standing up to them.  BTW Liverpool kicked all this off with their reaction to hooper
