Palmer would be a very different but perfect alternative to Gnonto in my opinion…

Spurs sniffing around now
I’d be more concerned about Palace coming in for him with the Olise money - perfect Zaha/Olise replacement. Hopefully they come back for Gray instead!

Daka wasn’t on the bench on Saturday despite being fit (according to the Leicester fan I know) - they went for 2 goalkeepers instead. They think he’s definitely off somewhere with us being the main link. Bambi on ice and worse than Maupay was the feedback I’ve received but that is probably full of bitterness with them going down and losing all their players!

On the bench tonight for u21s - supposedly a very good prospect who Chelsea wanted to keep and a host of teams after him. Could be one to keep an eye on.

How many loans are we allowed. ?
11 minutes ago, Haiku said:I think 8, but only 2 domestic-based players, such as Harrison, are allowed on loan in season.
We’re allowed 4 - 2 domestic and 2 other.

Latest Leeds statement says that Gnonto is now for sale but that they refuse to do business with Everton!
Where’s this statement? Link please.

Harrison is better than anything we have now when fit this is a great move possibly end up with garner reverting to right back
I can see this happening - would like him centre mid but think he may be used as much at right back.

McNeil, Danjuma, Gray, and Dobbin have played their most games on the left. Plus Iwobi prefers to play on the left.
And we have zero RWs so....
Would not be such an issue (playing on either side) if we had two dimensional or two footed players but at Everton there are not many...
Harrison is a two footed player who can play on both flanks. Gray is leaving and Dobbin is probably going for another loan. Iwobi and Danjuma are as much right wingers or central forward players as they are left wingers. Yesterday showed our lack of depth with Garner having to cover right mid so Iwobi could cover the left. We need options and Harrison (and hopefully Gnonto) will help massively.

We are in for another left winger now. Jack Harrison. Who is injured. Reportedly until international break...
Our recruiting department sure can pick them can't they... Need a Striker, RW, and CB but no let's sign someone for a position we have cover...
Who is our left wing cover?

Agree 100%
I love the idea of Gnonto as think he’s a really exciting player but Harrison is a top, consistent and reliable signing.

Harrison has a £16m release clause supposedly so will just depend on deal structure. Talk of £8m for Cannon.
-
Sounds like Leeds want Cannon so it could make negotiations easier on multiple deals.

He was a fucking shambles. Either on the floor or stood still. The emoji was simply to indicate I find it hilarious and the trolling comment is because its the only explanation I could think of, also only in jest.
It doesn’t always come across in jest and may put people off voting if you start a thread then mock different opinions - constructive criticism, fair enough - it’s all about opinions.

Tv footage made Onana look like he had a decent game. It seems no one in the ground thought so.
Exactly what I thought having watched it back! He frustrated me in the 2nd half and my old man commented on him just walking around but actually the TV footage showed his good bits were very good so can see why someone may have voted for him.

Edit: who's trolling with Onana?!
I don’t think Onana was MOTM but he had a decent first half - it’s an opinion that you don’t agree with - no need with the ‘trolling’ comment and emoji - just disagree.
-
The problem with yesterday was that everyone did okay and we should have won the game comfortably had it not been for poor finishing/decision making in front of goal and the ridiculous disallowed goal.
I went with Garner but actually could point the finger at him for their goal having now watched it back. I thought he was our classiest player generally and hope he will be a mainstay in this team although I think we’ll see him used all over rather than central midfield.

It's cute.
Fulham did a really weird thing today… they took their striker off for another striker and even when their striker, who had come on, looked like he would need to come off, they had even had another striker ready to replace him

Summer 2023 Transfer Window (The Great Everton Depression)

I think there are deals to be done with City with their younger players as long as there’s a good sell-on and/or buy back after x-many years.
