I'll deal with this another time when I've calmed down. Oh fuck it here goes.... All your posts seem to be opinions of radio commentators or "interesting" facts you've googled and then quote "if memory serves me well". Quite often the posts have no opinion at all but I still read them In the vein hope that it will be the one off insightful post I've never read. Rarely you watch a game (self confessed) and then dominate the message board with drivel. I could point out each one individually but my post tally would be nearer a 1000 if that was the case. Lastly, I've never called a fellow Evertonian on here (or anywhere) a cunt or prick so wind your neck in and stop being belligerent. For the record I will still read your comments and look forward to any interesting and thought provoking posts in future.

Painfully obvious from the off that they were happy for us to have the ball and sit deep. They were always going to have us for breakfast on the counter when we had our quickest CB out and a CB playing RB, and they have Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling charging at us... Tactically we got it all wrong, it was embarrassing.

Ref didnt help and Mirallas and Barkley looked like the only ones who wanted to have a go.

Needless to mention we are devastated here in CR, the images are raw enough to make you feel sick, he's a good lad and didn't deserve that all (who deserves it anyway).

He does feel grateful for all the support received both from evertonians and costa ricans, and overall the world including players like Radamel Falcao and Hugo Rodallega. WC is indeed a huge doubt now, but he's positive and although the chances are minimum there's a light of hope, let's see what happens.

Strangely this wouldn't be the first WC he misses, he already missed U-17 South Korea 2007. Such a bad luck.

Lakaku had no service all night. He made run after run and the ball was never played. Not surprised he gave up in the end. Even when we got it wide and beat the defender no cross came.

On the bright side.....if he's willing to go on strike at Stoke he might do the same if he comes to Everton.

Mike you're an integral part of toffeetalk and no topic is complete without one of your witty posts that I always look out for. Good luck in beating it. My mother in law was given around 6 to live around a year ago. But after radiotherpy it has reponded so well they don't have a time frame now and it's indefinitely controlled. Fingers crossed for you and your children as I know the knock on effect it has on all the people close to you.

If he actually took the decision to go to ground then that was the cleverest thing he could do. Likely they'd score the penalty and play against 10 for the remainder of the match. You do feel that it's double whammy though a goal and a red card however the other alternative could be a yellow and a missed pen and if that was the other way round we'd be furious. It was the only way Sunderland were ever going to win that game. Worse still for us is losing Tim to suspension which is a bit hard to swallow.

I'd go 3 -5 -1 in the second half and just go for it. A loss is a loss might as well try and make something if the game.

Problem is that Howard will now miss games and over the past few weeks he's been exceptional.

But surely if you are admitting that they are facts , even if they arent the complete story, then there is enough substance to suggest that moyes was doing something right?

I get the fact that Martinez has taken the shackles off, and we are now playing better football

I get the fact that people are upset about his antics in the summer

I get the fact that we had gone stale under Moyes and a parting of the ways was in the best interests of everyone

What I dont get is how or why people want to rewrite history and make out he was a bad manager and above all else I really cant fathom how anybody can say that our defensive resolve this season has got nothing to do with Moyes when every single defender that has been used this season, incuding the keeper, were signed by him

Haf would have you beleive that BK is the worst chairman in the game, that Moyes is a money grabbing second rate Sunday league manager and that Elstone and the Board are all clowns. If thats the case how have we managed to evolve from the shambles of a club we were under Johnson and Smith into the team we are today?

Somebody somewhere must have been doing something right and if its not down to the Chairman, the manager or the Board then who the fuck is it down to?

Don't mess with the team, this is a banana skin, they are fighting for their lives and should not be judged on league position.

Start with a high tempo, pressure them, create and take our chances. Get 2 goals up and make subtle changes if required... We can't afford to take these lightly.

Well I've been managing to hold out of this debate until now. The above comments are ludicrous! Moyes took our club and pulled it out of the dark ages. I remember being thrashed by Wimbledon just staying by the skin of our teeth in the league and never knowing where our next win would come from. Moyes on the whole did well in the transfer market and got us one top four finish. So there is my and others right to defend him. However, in the last couple of years I got annoyed with his tactical decisions and negativity and felt he should go. I also wasn't pleased in the manner he left, but if he hadn't gone we wouldn't now have Martinez so that's forgiven. I for one am a huge Martinez supporter as my dad is an avid Swansea fan and I stated he would be in my opinion the correct manager for everton as I saw first hand what he did at Swansea. (Check the Martinez thread). So in summary I'm really bored with this whole Martinez Moyes debate as I think everything has worked out for the best. Moyes deserves some credit for his 10 years and Martinez has me excited and thoughly enjoying my football. Happy Christmas!

I have never once said that Martinez hasnt improved things so I fail to see the relevence of it.. In fact it goes along with exactly what I have been saying

I agreed with a point a journalist made that we are seeing the best of both worlds ie Moyes defensive stability and organisation and Robertos flair and playing without fear so this only goes to further back up my point.

All the Moyes bashers refuse to beleive that Moyes built the foundations of this side even though the players , the staff and even Roberto himself have come out in public and said just that. Its blatantly obvious that Roberto has them playing without fear, and Im loving any minute of it , but that has never been in question .

Unbelievable on this forum some times. Critising lukaku? Did you see how many runs he made and was ignored by mirallas alone? The lad doesn't look like a threat because he isn't being played like one. In the first half he should have scored two if someone had been on his wavelength. Look at the highlights and see we're he was every time. In the box ready for it. He shows, he works hard. He doesn't win many headers as some have said but that's not we got him for and play for fooks sake.

Hardly a one man team. It's weird we've come so far this season that people are still annoyed in part at a 4-1 win. These are the games we always used to drop points in ......after The Lord Mayors show.

What about putting Deulofeu on for Baines? What an incredibly attacking mindset, given the context and the situation. That took guts.
