Love that he's out in Manhattan dressed like a bit of a lemon enjoying a break with Tom Davies!
Don't think I'd recognise either if I saw them out like that!
Good to see players wanting to spend time together during a break.
    Those red sandals though 😱

Most dangerous corners we’ve seen all season, always got it into dangerous areas.  Amazed we never really got on to any of them.
excellent all round performance, great to see him getting some games and still be able to produce top performances.
i agree with having, it would be a shame to see him playing on when he’s no longer up to it.  Quite hard to judge as a player and for the coach when he gets so little real game time though.
i think baines himself will know when it’s time to stop.

I'm not that sure about it when your lacking enough quality to rotate but in the case of Keane I'd rather he get game time than thrown in when we're desperate.   Similarly Holgate's been brilliant but we shouldn't put too much pressure on him and make him feel he's a must pick.
Was surprised Bernard missed the last game but he never plays 90 so maybe just preserving him.  I'd have him in my team as often as possible though.
The only guarantees seem to be Pickford, Digne,  DCL and richarlison.
Seems to be working ok anyway

Walcott having a cracking game so far, only player really creating things, really lively,  making great runs and using his pace.
Rest need to up their game

Love the Ibra response....I'll give him a call and see if he fancies coming over!
Usual careful responses around transfers and transfer funds but I'd say he'll definitely be well backed.

I know ibra is very much a look at me big ego kind of guy and I don't really like that in a player but I'd be interested to know how much of a team player he is within a squad.
If he's the kind that would get on with people and use his experience to help others then he'd be a great short term addition.  DCL could learn a lot from Ibra if he could spend some time with him in training.

Indeed what a load of shite!
does anyone care about the difference in league positions outside of the top 6? Not really.  But a good cup run and even better winning it is the kind of thing that fans bother to turn up for .
I want to see us playing a final and lifting a trophy.  I’ve seen us finish between 4th and 17th all my life but unfortunately can only remember one trophy and being at that final was a darn sight more exciting than a lot of the league games I’ve seen of which no one will remember a year later.
the example of Burton and Bradford is also one off bollocks.  Our last league cup semi final we lost to Man City.  Didn’t we also lose one to the shite as well?
id happily play Burton in the semi final if it got us a final anyway. You insinuating that it’s a Micky mouse cup won by lesser teams which is completely wrong.  15 of the last 30 finalists have been from the big 6 and only 1 has featured none of them.  Success is what those teams aspire to on all fronts and so should we

Clearly, neither Crystal Palace nor Norwich view this cup as particularly important.
Re relative priorities, here's my list:
Finishing first in the Premier League Finishing second in the Premier League Finishing third in the Premier League Finishing fourth in the Premier League Finishing fifth in the Premier League Finishing sixth in the Premier League Finishing seventh in the Premier League Finishing eighth in the Premier League Finishing ninth in the Premier League Finishing tenth in the Premier League Winning the FA Cup Finishing eleventh in the Premier League Finishing twelfth in the Premier League Finishing thirteenth in the Premier League Finishing fourteenth in the Premier League Finishing fifteenth in the Premier League Finishing sixteenth in the Premier League Finishing seventeenth in the Premier League Winning the Caraboa Cup PS - Winning the FA Cup is a bit of a concession since the prize money is less than finishing 19th in the league - but it does carry some prestige. The prestige associated with winning the Caraboa Cup is the cube root of zero. Who wants to waste time playing Bradford or Burton in a semifinal?
Sorry - I made my point earlier and had intended to say no more, but since others posted their priority list, I felt I ought to do the same.

FairWooney got a reaction from Matt in Gylfi Sigurðsson
Gylfi looked very static and I rarely saw him contribute much.  he did create a couple of things but was very rarely involved in the game.  touched the ball 37 times in an hour (Bernard did much less and didn't really seem to be making the movement and showing for it in a game where their sat back and he's in the perfect position to make things happen.  Both he and Gomez were guility of not contributing effectively to create things around the edge of the box.
Personally I thought Iwobi looked more lively when he came on and i'd like to see him get a start in the middle in the league cup and if he plays well then he should start in the next league game.  Kean should also start in the league cup and if they work well then they should both be starting at the weekend.  We looked a lot more dynamic and created more in the box when they were on.

Football is as much about playing football that people enjoy watching as it is about winning trophies.
Dislike that as much as you like but very few teams will walk away with a trophy in a season but tens of thousands will turn out every week to revel in the action of their team.  We all hope for a top 4 spot or a cup victory but know that it will be tough to achieve.  The least we could want should be to watch games where we enjoy the football being played, feel excitement from what we see and some hope that we can challenge for those goals.
in the last few months that’s how I’ve felt about our team and the finishing position didn’t really matter to me in the end.  I’d seen exciting positive football with some memorable victories and can look forward to the next season with some hope that there will be many more of those moments.
