That’s one way of getting rid of Allardyce

That front line (sig/tosun/walcott) should tear teams apart, but without baines and coleman to feed them they may as well be playing in a different stadium.

Wasn't much point in employing him. We would be in a similar position, if not better, had we just given it to Unsy until the summer. Waste of money.

This is worrying.
“I've got Yannick Bolasie who cost thirty million quid and Theo Walcott who cost twenty million quid and both have a lot more experience than Lookman, so no."
Admitting he's playing players on price tag over ability here imo. I couldn't give a flying fuck if we spunked £30/40/50m on a player (which we have done several times of late), if theyre not good enough, you dont play them. Simple.
too much players nowhere near good enough for the price we paid for them. Our kids are much better than most of the senior players and they cost nothing almost.

When he plays 4-1-4-1 without a certain cheese eating surrender monkey.

Blueherts reacted to Bailey in Leicester City (Home) Wednesday January 31st
Davies has not really done anything of note today but when we were winning he was popping up laying the ball off, making runs in behind etc but more impressively is that when we conceded he has been putting his foot in wherever he can, never afraid to take the ball, chasing everything down.

Blueherts reacted to Palfy in Longest Thread! for Everton Discussion
We have bought some really good players this and last season in Gylfi, Klaassen, Rooney, Vlasic, Keane, Pickford, Bolasie, Schneiderlin, Lookman and recently Tosun and Walcott, what we have lacked is a manager who knows how to get a group of players that have, and have shown good ability and no how to play as a team, when you look at them names and the handful of good players that were already here we should be playing decent football, it's no use just to keep on buying good players and handing them to managers who don't and can't set out a system that good players revel in, if we get a half decent manager who wants to play passing football we'd see the true talents of the players we've got, until then we will continue to struggle know matter how much money we spend.

Interesting read - and read the match day thread too. Keane and Klaassen getting good write ups. I do wonder if Klaassen could do something given the chance with players like Walcott and Bolasie ahead - surely couldn’t do as bad as Schneiderlin...

I'd like to see Keane and Holgate start to form what will hopefully be a solid young pairing and there won't be many better games than this to give them a run together same goes for Garbutt
One Defensive mid absolutely sick of this shite fad and obsession of having two it does absolutely nothing at all doesn't help defensively we still leak like Katie Price in Ann Summers and adds zilch moving the ball forward
Bolasie clearly isn'tt a 100% fit so I'd start Walcott and bring him on for the last 30/20 mins Lookman deserves a start the lad needs games
Expecting Tosun to get a brace
------------------------Pickford
Kenny------Holgate----Keane-----Garbutt
-------------------------Gueye
--------------Rooney--------Sigurdsson
Walcott---------------------------------Lookman

I'm sure we'll find out next season. We don't have a hope in hell of keeping him under the current regime.

for me it boils down to this. with bill the financials were a mess, but he always made sure the football was decent and he was smart/shrewd somewhat in transfers and sales and with manager hires. Moyes and Martinez were (again remember the time, financial situation, etc) great managers who did a ton with little money available (lukaku for 28 and sold for 90, enough said). we have millions now and great financies but the football sucks. i don't follow everton for the accounting statements, i follow for the football matches. this is why Bill has gotten more respect from me and moshiri less.
moshiri gets the new owner mulligan on koeman, fat sam, and walsh, but who he appoints after could be the makings of him or the end of him. these will be forgiven, he's new, doesn't know what he's doing, etc. but if he screws it up again the fans will go wild and there will be moshiri out banners if we are mid-bottom table team regularly.
