Not sure what to say.
Well, the only thing I want to say for sure is....let's not tare each other to shreds lads, no need for the nastiness.
I only caught the last half hour or so (got a stream just as they got the 2nd). But I didn't see anything at all. Just a load of Everton players pushing on but nothing happening.
I'm feeling a bit numb really. I'm just feeling gutted for the first time. I'm not sure what's happening to us? We are playing like a bunch of strangers. There's no fluency, rhythm, belief. It's just...weird.
I'm saddened that Martinez picked this team. After Besic and Barkley showed so much promise against QPR. Shame. And to make no subs at all?! McGeady, Kone, Pienaar...all with critics...but all fresh legs, attacking options, to come off the bench.
I see no sense in playing Naismith, Eto'o and Barkley in a 3, as they all naturally want to go central. So they just step on each others toes and nullify each others threat.
I dunno. Just so so disappointed. I don't recognise this team just now. I can count on one hand the games I think we've played well in from all competitions. So disappointing.
I'm not writing the season off but the 2nd half of the season is going to have to be something special.

Newty82 got a reaction from Romey 1878 in Barkley or Sterling?
Barkley will be an all round better player in the end. Just his size, strength and ability on the ball will tell.
Sterling did benefit a lot from Liverpool last season and the way they played. This season he his doing ok in a pretty poor set up.
At the moment, if all we are looking at is goals and assists, then sterling wins it.
But in terms of all round potential, Barkley is well ahead. It's up to Martinez to make the most of his 'special and unique' talent.

They have lost their way slightly just now. But will still be a tough game.
It's up to us. If we can play with some intensity for more than 15 minutes, we'll do it.
If we fanny around, it will be a lot tougher.

Boring first half an hour.
We improved a bit after that but we can do a lot better.
We are still sloppy in possession. This was summed up by that free kick that was played short and ended up back to Howard...unreal. Sick of seeing stuff like that.
But it's up to us to keep a rhythm now. QPR have gone a bit flat, if we can keep a rhythm and keep going forward, we can get another couple. Which would do confidence a load of good.
I think Besic is ace again...He has one setting: Seek & Destroy.
The right side of Coleman & McGeady is weak. It just isn't happening for them. They need a better understanding.
Lukaku needs to do a lot more to lose his marker when we are attacking. He needs to make more angled runs.

He's been brilliant. Will only get better too.
His tackles are immense...real old school stuff.
He is that bit of steel that we need. No respect for reputation. Everyone is a victim.

Oh come on.
Shut the board down...and every forum, because you can only comment if you are at the game.
Don't be like that.

I understand the Boo's when the ball was going all the way back to Howard.
This isn't a one off knee jerk reaction. It's a build up of frustration from fans who don't see the point in being on the ascendency only to then play it right back, for Howard to hoof it, and the opposition to get possession.

Decent result. But why do we ease off again? After the 3rd, we invited QPR to play better and get more confident, while we should have kicked them in the nuts while they were down.
It was alright over all, we still have a bit to do to be at our best.
Besic was a beast.
Jags and Distin their usual 50/50 solid selves but at times so dodgy in possession.
Coleman and Baines, I sometimes wonder if they run forward too soon and run out if space. Coleman was just poor. Baines a bit better, very slow to react to Zambia for the QPR goal.
Barkley did well to control himself in a deeper role. Went a bit quieter in the 2nd half.
Mirallas did fine. But, like many creative players, just wants to take the ball too much.
Naismith, usual energy and mischief. Looked comfortable playing even deeper once subs were made.
Lukaku...sorry, but another abysmal performance. This bloke really needs a kick up the arse. This is no one else's fault.
Eto'o and Kone...Looked good. Kone should get a chance up top on his own. These guys movement and use of the ball is brill...Lukaku needs to work with these guys in training and learn a lot from them.

Big fallout with Martinez...according to some random site, Ossie told Martinez he dislikes his shoes. Huge fail.

Probably the closer you are to Everton, the more you 'breath for them'. I can imagine that if I still lived in Birkenhead I would go to a load more games. Depending on career path (probably none down there the way I was going...hence, at 11, shift him away to Cumbria to live with his Dad!!!), I may have a season ticket...as my uncle and a couple of cousins do. We are an Everton family. Then I'd be more 'emotionally' involved.
But now? As a man with a wife, kids and a pressured job? Yeah, it's a part time hobby. Because it can't be any more than that. I line up what's important...If Everton win the league, do I get a pay rise? If they get relegated, do I get paid less? I go the gym to stay healthy, sitting watching Everton is far from good for my health!!!
Doesn't mean I don't give a toss though. It's my family team. I've been surrounded by Everton from birth.
The 'it will be ok' isn't from not being bothered, it's from having faith with our manager. And it's not blind faith. It's a genuine feeling that this bloke is the right man for the job.
