he gets kicked all over the place and just gets back up again.

cant help feeling this is a bit of a generalisation of spanish football as a whole rather than just Barca

my point was just barca, i aknowledge they dive a lot in spain but its the barca team i see most on tv. but they dont seem to do it so much in a spain shirt as they do in a barca one.

also, i will note that messi doesnt seem to dive much, he aint 100% but no where near as bad as his team mates.

Been away for a week, so apologies if I am repeating what has been said. In the past few weeks a consnsus of opinion in these parts has been if we can get 10-12 million for Arteta that would be good business, the fact that we did not bring in any other similar type player has detracted from that. A good profit on a player who can blow hot and cold, admittedly when hot a great player, would be sound business if the cash was used for re-inforcements but there lies another debate?

http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-news/echo-apologise-to-everton-over-arteta-article/

IN Saturday’s Echo we stated that Everton FC’s financial plight made the sale of Mikel Arteta necessary.

We understand from Everton this is not the case and Arteta was reluctantly allowed to leave because he expressly stated a desire to do so – not because of any financial pressure upon the club, which would have been happy and able to keep him.

We apologise for giving the wrong impression on the matter.’

I wonder if Everton have the muscle to force an apology from the Daily Mirror in that case: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/columnists/mcgovern/2011/09/02/will-everton-go-down-after-transfer-window-exodus-115875-23390476/

or the Guardian

Maybe Andy Hunter and McGovern aren't too concerned about their jobs being affected in being banned from finch farm...
