MikeO
Terry not going http://soccernet.esp...n-terry?cc=5739 ....or alternatively.... Ferdinand not going http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18081125 I'd leave them both behind personally and play Jags and Lescott as first choice. pete0
I'd leave them both behind personally and play Jags and Lescott as first choice. Agree with the first bit, but Cahill ahead of Jags.
Romey 1878
Ferdinands been poor and Terry isn't fit, so others deserve places ahead of the pair of them. I'm jot sure Jags should go either though tbh, he certainly hasnt earned a spot.
MikeO
Richards and Cahill played in the last game against Holland and were average...Jags and Lescott kept a clean sheet against Spain at the end of last year; difficult to argue with that. Jags hasn't been great for us but has always played well with Lescott....I'd give them a go (and think of the potential rise in Jags' transfer value!). But if you only take internationals into account....which is kind of what matters...Jags has done nothing wrong.

I'd prefer if players were picked on merit, I'm still bitter Watson didnt get more of a chance.
pete0
http://uk.eurosport....england-23.html No Jags! Edit: woops I jumped the gun its only a prediction. My preferred Hart Ruddy (any English as they are all on par, and only 2 as Jags is an adequate 3rd choice) RB: Neville Hibbert (Kelly) CB: Cahill Lescott Rio Jags LB: Cole Baines RM: Barton Young (Walcott) DM: Parker Milner (Barry/Carrick) CM: Osman Scholes (Cleverley) AM: Lampard Wilshere (Barkley) LM: Johnson Lennon (Downing) ST: Rooney Sturridge Fletcher (Rodriguez) Edited May 15, 2012 by pete0

pete0
Fletcher, the Scot? Barton would never go, nor Rodriguez ahead of Crouch/Defoe/Wellbeck etc. Thought he was a scouser. Defoe is dog awful and Welbeck is a poor mans Sturridge. 3rd choice wont play much so would have to be more of a poacher than the likes of Crouch, would prefer Holt over Crouch. 1 in 2 strike rate at a average champ side is a good return, think he could be a wild card. marcopaulo
i'd hardly describe defoe as dog awful and what has sturridge actually done in the past 5 months? welbeck and rooney together look fantastic and that's the only reason i'd take welbeck

Matt
oh, and on a side note, im almost 100% sure that Rooneys suspension will be the point of blame when the national team fails to turn up, just like it was in the World Cup. "If he hadnt got himself suspended, we wouldve won" yadda fuckin yadda....
