I think they have key players in all positions and if Ronaldo steps up in the big games (which he doesn't do often), they have a great chance of reaching the semi finals at least! Portugal are a decent side but for me Ronaldo seems to go missing in big games and without him they will lose a lot. They've been ineffective on the world stage IMO since Euro 2004 when they made the final against Greece. Didn't they lose to Bulgaria too in this weeks friendly? The players were next door: Andy cole, Ronny johnsen, Alan Shearer, Andy Sinton, Michael Gray (never went to bed for 3 days), Matt Jansen, Richard Gough, Mendieta, Dennis Wise, Di Matteo, was a bit nuts seeing them all. Alan Wright moved into our hotel because he said theirs wasnt very good. He was a class bloke, tiny like but down to earth. But yeah, general consensus is Germany for the euros...
