Steve_E
Official Everton @Everton7m There's no Pienaar today after he picked up an injury in training. Kone is absent due to a knock to his knee. #EFCCFC
Hafnia
ahh shite, a workman like team set up, keep it tight and get mccarthy and gerry to up the tempo in second half - fookin naismith??? has he got pictures of martinez with a sheep or something now? CMorley91
Unsure on this now... Was not expecting Naismith or Osman to start.... Shame Kone is injured, could have done with him today. Although with Lukaku not available and Kone injured, it doesnt say much for Vellios that he still isnt included on the bench Quinn31
Cornish Steve
And Gueye is on the bench.

Toffee_in_LA
I'm guessing Mirallas goes up if something happenes to Jela? I'm happy that Barry is starting but a bit nervous for this one.
BlueBlood81
Probably shouldn't have started a new sentence...sounds like two 'different' events Yea I thought that as soon as I read it back. I sincerely hope he Never rams anything down my throat lol Lowensda
Lowensda
Barry was always starting and it's a good move, it 'sures' up the middle of the park, where Chelsea like to overcrowd.

Quinn31
Shame , we could really use Pienaar and Kone... Naismith starting could be quite the adventure.. I think the fact that Moyes or Martinez wouldn't put Vellios on the bench even when there was room for another striker shows that he just isn't that good. I mean, if he was good enough, both managers would've at least put him on the bench.

Sibdane
Really surprised that Vellios isn't on the bench... What does that say about him? Or is he injured?
Bailey
Not the team I was expecting and I am gutted to see Kone and Pienaar out. Tough game.
Peter H
Coyb! Hope Naismith can keep up the oddly ok form he had in pre season.
Bailey
Poor from Coleman there. Barry fitting in well already.
Steve_E
Mirallas not starting well in his defensive half.
Droobie
How? He could have been up front instead of Jelavic... Actually... he'll probably score now... 8P Edited September 14, 2013 by Droobie
pete0
I don't see why Vellios is getting so much stick, his game isn't well suited against Chelsea or the style of football we're using atm. Once we start mixing up our formations and style of play, Vellios will be worth hanging on to as he offers another dimension.
Bailey
Really poor defending that. Not sure why Barkley needed to play that pass in that area either.
