Number 1 is kind of growing on me though I must say after seeing a few more pictures on the official website. Still, yeah, none of the above if possible. Do you want an old school throwback classic logo or a modern one? I really don't see the big deal at all, maybe that's cause in America all the crests are pretty much modern. As long as the crest is viewed by the board and the designers as a combination of "elements", the final design won't be acceptable. It needs to be more than that, like an actual design instead of throwing all the favored elements together. Consulting the public isn't just about asking us about what elements we want, and then giving three barely differing arrangements to choose from. Would rather have kept the old crest like many others as well. Don't know why they couldn't have added a thick yellow outline to all crests to get them to actually pop. Having a primarily blue crest that'll feature on primarily blue kits and other primarily blue products seems like a pretty dopey decision. I wouldn't have minded a bit of colour added, like the use of green through the wreaths or some differing blues used, so bloody crests don't just fade into the background. None of the above are slick, they just look clumsy and out of proportion. I actually prefer the crest we have at the moment to them, and that's saying something! New manager, new era, new crest.... it just seems the right time for a new style of crest. It looks especially right in the reverse colours on the home shirt.
