McCarthy has been worse for me, maybe the possibility of missing the derby is playing on his mind. I'd get him off and Barley on. I know Ossie doesn't defend much but come on, Palace have got 0 points in 9 out of 10 matches and they're letting us have the ball anyway. Deulofeu on as well. Mirallas has been shocking but I always believe he can produce something special so I'm not sure if I want him or Pienaar to be replaced. If we let Palace score, I can see them being hard to break down, we have to score first. It's a narrow pitch and we're too scared on ball retention crabbing it afraid of going for the harder pass. Pienaar has been the best player so far again. Mirralas has had a few good moments but then disappears. We should sub Mirralas for Gerry! We just don't know what to do with all the possession. I like the new Everton trying to control the play and have the ball and I like what Martinez is trying to do, but we need to do something with the ball. The movement is poor and our passing and final ball have been off for a couple of games now. I trust Martinez can see this so we must be patient. The players are still learning.
