Steve_E Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 McGeady, for not playing as complete garbage during his spell on the pitch. -I guess Howard didn't really have a lot to do and I don't think he could have prevented the goals, so I could've voted for him as well. -Coleman tried but he was bested by Shaw a couple of times and at other times the quality of his crosses let him down. He should be kicking a 1000 crosses a day this summer cause that's still a pretty weak part of his game. -Baines was absent from the game when you'd hope for him to lead by example. -Stones and Alcaraz looked shaky. -A large part of that is because of all the time and space Soton were allowed in front of them. McCarthy and Barry never helped them out as they should have. And Barry needed too much time on the ball on a number of occasions as well. -Barkley didn't play well. Tried a lot of Hollywood passes that just didn't work out. -Naismith should no longer be played on the wing cause again he offered absolutely nothing. He just does not have the qualities required to play there. It's as a 10 or in the false 9 role he played against Arsenal or he should't play. -Deulofeu had one good free kick, I think literally everything else he tried failed. -Lukaku slowed everything down by needing to touch the ball three times before he's properly controlled it. I don't get the lazy shouts as I've seen him being the only one in a blue shirt closing the opposition down up the pitch on a number of occasions for example. -Osman played badly. Just didn't offer anything and he tried to trick the referee twice as well. Quote
verreauxi Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Gerry (that's a joke. total crap from him) Not sure who I would rate, all were average. Maybe Stones for making 3 blocks with his hands. Aidan 1 Quote
markjazzbassist Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 mcgeady, still not sure why he doesn't start. osman is shit, gerry is a one trick and one footed pony who everyone has figured out, and mirallas is injured. he did well with baines and got some nice crosses in the box. Quote
Scottishguy Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Couldn't watch this one was out. Sounds like they all had a mare though. Quote
Brett Angel Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Mgeady. Moyes would have got a point there :-) Quote
MC11 Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Can't give anyone man of the match there. It was dross. Quote
Shukes Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Naismith for being possibly the only other player than Tim who didn't do anything wrong. He actually played well until he took that knock. Quote
Bluesky1 Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Aiden McGeady was the man of the match for me. Quote
Gwlad Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Embarrassing but I've got over it a bit so Naismith gets the vote. Of the rest only Howard and McGeady looked to be really trying to get back in it. Quote
StevO Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 Gave it to Howard out of pitty. He didnt deserve that. Matt 1 Quote
