Matt Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 I wouldnt mind the lad, depending on the transfer fee, which I assume would be reasonably high
Romey 1878 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Report Posted May 6, 2014 I wouldnt mind the lad, depending on the transfer fee, which I assume would be reasonably high Doubt it - This has alerted Roberto Martinez, who is keen to lure him away from the Midlands when his contract expires in a few months’ time.
Louis Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Don't you read things properly Matt? Steve_E and Matt 2
Lowensda Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 He might have picked up his form recently but before now, he's been pretty dire. Not the sort of player i'd like us looking at, if we're wanting to make the step-up.

Lowensda Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 And he has a massive nose. yes, he does look like a pterodactyl.
Louis Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Bit harsh there ! I like Albrighton, if he comes on a free it'd be a coup. Although I do wonder whether he'd leave his boyhood team on a free transfer. Matt 1
Hafnia Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 On a free? No brainer. Good player, needs a bit of continuity and form.
Sibdane Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 I remember watching him on the opening day of the season for Aston Villa a couple of seasons back. You could definitely see the potential. For free? Yes.
Guest blueboy122 Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Yes from me and I would also like that Wiemann from Villa. Matt 1
Guest Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 He looked a good prospect a season or two ago. Only young and on a free why not? We can always sell him for a couple of mill if it doesn't work out
Louis Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-marc-albrighton-set-7142574 It seems Everton could be offering more than Villa were prepared to.
Guest blueboy122 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 I would imagine he would want to stay with his hometown club even if we offer more wages. Besides he wont be earning a huge amount will he well I would think £10-£15k a week.

Cornish Steve Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 And Delph's contract expires in one year.
Matt Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 And Delph's contract expires in one year. Not sure I understand the point?
Cornish Steve Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Well, he's a player at Villa that might be worth considering. Your link to player salaries mentions contract expiration data as well as weekly wages.
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Would rather see the likes of Kennedy given a go before signing the likes of Albrighton. Doesn't bode well if he couldn't get into Villas side
MC11 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 When he first came through he looked like he was going to be great. Fast forward 24 months his development had gone backwards Sibdane and Aidan 1 1

Doesn't bode well if he couldn't get into Villas side That's true however we do need to build a bigger squad. Although I would like the new players to improve what we have already.
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27497370 He has left Villa
c1982 Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 the majority of their fans arent bothered. The ones I know (far too many) are livid - they feel he's been their best player towards the end of the season. He's turned down a deal by all accounts.
