to be honest, ive tried quite hard to ignore it this week because its pointless worrying about it. Everton will hire who they want and we will either celebrate the appointment or grin and bare it...

I didn't say I would be happy with a top 10 finish
 
My stance is that I cant see any manager coming in and doing any better than Moyes did without first getting considerable financial backing.
 
For the record I don't think we will get anywhere near either of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea and it will be extremely difficult to catch Spurs or Arsenal

Heard a few people use this argument. Takeover or not, United is one of the biggest jobs in world football and when your recommended personally by one of the legends of the game, your not going to turn it down.

I think we need to get used to seeing our players linked with other clubs, but all media outlets will take full advantage of Moyes leaving for United, so expect a lot of speculation between now and the start of the new season.

Ive not seen Brentford play this season, but I admit I'm intrigued by Jake Bidwells development. He has made 50 appearances for a team who is in the League 1 Playoff final in a few days. I would be disappointed if he wasn't given a chance to compete next season. I know he hasn't been as highly touted as some players, and doesn't develop on Footy Manager, but something has to be said for his appearances, and the teams performance.

Will not happen. He loves living in LA, and I think he really wants to go back to the World Cup.

Marco is more than capable of looking after himself here, but i assure you he is a true blue and wants success. He just has a different opinion thats all.

Would just like to say before I go to bed, as a final tribute to Moyes, thank you for bringing these two guys to our club! Two of finest players of Davids era and an absolute privilege to have seen them at our club!

If Baines, Felli & Barkley were to leave (I disagree that they will Felli aside) that'd bring £65/70m into the club so why in the world would any dream be over? Decent manager can create a whole new team with that!

If the next Manager is Martinez I would be dubious that we would get that many players from England. Wigan has a decent sized squad. I would guess he would search for some good buys in Spain such as Iago Aspas or Míchel(Migeul Alfanso Herrrero) . I would also guess he would increase the squad size. He has a penchant for finding good buys.

Are we naming any international player? Koldrup, Pistone, Ginola, Bilyaletdinov? OMG, how could I forget the Yak?!

I'll be happy with a win, and unhappy with anything else. They are without their best player, and our guys are fighting for Europe. I know everyone is tired, but there is only 4 1/2 more hours of football this term.

He's too much of a shithouse for a derby. The lad needs to grow a pair because every game I've seen him take charge of he rolls over for the home team (which is probably why the FA have sent him to Anfield).

Unbelievable the shuffling Martinez has had to do. He will never be considered great whilst at Wigan, because people really don't appreciate how little he works with, they just say "always struggles with relegation".
 
I mentioned in the Jelavic thread that I would like to see Diame come in as a swap for Jelavic if West Ham want him... Diame is being watched by Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool. Now where did he come from??? Wigan. Another one of the players Martinez plucked from nowhere for £3m who elevated himself above Wigans salary structure and left on a free transfer.
 
Diame was bought in to replace Cattermole, brought in at the same time he signed Victor Moses for £2.5m (sold on for £9m) - the same time he also bought in James McCarthy for a nominal fee - a class act. Did I mention that was also the same season he got Jordi Gomez for £1.7m?
 
He signed alcaraz for free, shaun maloney for £1m, Kone for £2.7m, Al Habsi for £4m. Granted, he signed Boselli for £6.5m - a waste but hasn't every manager signed the odd nugget.

I don't reckon they will. From what I've read they have a lot of high wage earners.
 
I think they have too many players where the money is more important than their career that will not move unless their wages are kept at a similar rate.
