Trigger reacted to Matt in Sean Dyche
How is the ability of the international footballers to pass a ball on Dyche? Unless you think he's actively coaching them to be shit passers?
You don't want him here, you've made that clear in pretty much every thread since December, don't remember much prior to that. Meanwhile, I think he's progressed us quite a bit, despite the turmoil around the club, and think he deserves a crack with better players. You haven't managed to convince me until now that there is a better solution, I don't see anything has changed except we won our first home Derby in 14 years, have kept 11 clean sheets, have the 4th best defensive record in the league and should be sitting on a minimum of 41 points. Comparing that versus the last 2 seasons with pretty much the same squad, arguably weaker, and all the noise, that's impressive. Far from good enough, but a massive positive trend.
Realistically speaking there's 2 options for next season in my eyes:
1) PSR/FFP will continue to screw us over meaning the squad isn't going to be improved upon and, whilst it's mostly ugly, Dyche has got us progressing in the right direction during these very challenging circumstances. So why change?
2) We're somehow allowed to buy players but still have to be careful with spending, probably more bargain shopping as most sales profits will go to the books. Would you want a new manager in for that? Potentially and with good reasons. People (moreso than players I imagine) could say Dyche can't attract the players we want, let alone could potentially afford. But then who? I accept that we're still attractive with our history and the new stadium, but who takes us further than the last day relegation escapes to a midtable seaonal performance with less options and more pressure? I don't think we'd see this squad go on to a top 8 squad with anyone else, but who knows. Personally I don't think it's a gamble we need to take next season. I think, harsh as it is, that he gets 1 more season and if he doesn't improve further then we've a new manager for the new stadium. That's probably the best we can hope for with all things considered.

Is that real? Are we pretty much safe, 8 points clear, with 4 games to go? Did we just send Klopp off with the best goodbye? Did we keep a clean sheet against them and not get fucked by VAR?
I really don't know what to make of all that, I need to go lie down...

Enjoy that one lads!
I’ve got to add, today is the 8 year anniversary of my mother’s passing & I’m just a ball of emotion right now. It’s always a bitter sweet day but for the lads to pull of that win is just incredible.
I can’t even describe how I feel but this club just means so much.

Great Result, still think our football was far from good, but I'll take any points right now.
I'd be angry if I was Forest on the penalties. The 1st one I think is 50/50. The 2nd could easily of been given handball and 3rd was a pen for me. Tbf we've had similar penalty shouts this season and not got them.
How Ashley Young wasn't taken off is completely beyond me as was his even starting the match.
We just have to get to the end if this season still in the PL and reset.
With a few high wages off the books in the summer we have a good chance to properly rebuild.

Dyche needs to make a couple of changes instead of waiting for them to score before he considers doing so.

One thing that Dyche has done really well, which was rife before he came, was to cut out all the errors leading to goals. Which is one of the reasons why it staggers me on why he lets Young still play.

Jesus Christ Young as RB wtf will Dyche never learn, surely ffs Garner would have been the best fit option available.
Armchair pundit on the rant😂

Anfield surely isn't that bad?
Looks like it's been modelled on staple punches but not so bad you'd turn it into that.

Wow! I thought they just got a pair of Dice out, rolled them and went with result and then laughed and slapped themselves on the back about what a great deliberation they had as they no doubt got a big cheque for their work as well!

Exactly this, let’s now channel our anger into coming together and galvanising our strengths to beat the drop and stick to fingers up to the PL, as the saying goes don’t get angry get even, let the higher hierarchy of the club fight an appeal, let the team and fans fight to win every point available to us before the end of the season.

The last few years of being a supporter has been an absolute drain on my love for the game. I hate conspiracy theories, but I can't feel anything other than we're absolutely being targeted by the PL. The inconsistent nature of these penalties is so laughable and obvious.
I'm still holding out a little bit of hope that an appeal will knock it down to zero. I still think we'll stay up even if the 2 points stand though.

Eddie Howe is ageing! Reckons VAR only gave the penalty because it was Ashley Young, where did that come from?😂
