Well that's good news.

I don't think any of the young lads really stood out. Warrington clearly has talent but I am not sure he has the intensity or potentially the ability to press like you need to at the top level. Very much like Davies, I feel like he will too often find himself that yard too far away or off the pace. 
I certainly didn't see any rising stars coming through the ranks and standing out to suggest they will be staking a claim this season.

If getting a full back on a free is what we are looking for then why not someone like Ryan Manning who was at Swansea last season? 5 goals, 10 assists, and in multiple teams of the week in the championship last season, and think he got Swansea's player of the season award.  

This whole Dele deal is such a microcosm of this club. Like Bill and Farhad. The best thing the club can do is get rid of Dele asap. This deal was always more dreaming than planning.

One of our (many) problems is that there's a huge drop off from the first 11 to anyone else and having Tom Davies as a squad player epitomises that.
He's not a good footballer, he's not good at anything! Doesn't score, doesn't assist, doesn't tackle, slow, can't head the ball, can't shoot, poor positional awareness, rash, immobile, weak.
Awful footballer who is now, more than likely, going to get a pay rise for contributing fuck all during his previous contract. Dead money.

Oh I don't know, he continually surprises me at just how good he can be at doing absolutely nothing.

That's my problem with him: he doesn't really add anything. You don't bring him off the bench to change a game, and more often than not the person he's replacing should just stay on the field, because they're more effective. If he stays then the only situation I'd want to see him in are matches where we've already won and we just need a sub so another player can rest. It's hard to justify having a sub like that on the bench (although we do have a habit of putting two keepers on the bench which is even more baffling). 
He's not even a terrible footballer, but I don't see what he brings to the pitch.

I'd be looking to get shut of Simms and keep Cannon around. At least until we get some forward players in.

My thoughts on Coady are - well I wouldn’t want Holgate, Keane AND Coady. Sell Holgate and Keane and then sign Coady would be shrewd(ish) business to me but having all 3 would be a bit silly!!!
Even better - sell Holgate and Keane and Coady can go to Sheff.Utd while we sign a pacy centre-back better than what we have currently.
