Only around fourteen miles from me, one of my daughters lived there for a while, nice little town. Tar barrels a bit scary mind.

Hi Matt,
quotation above: I’m being a pleb but not conceding that he might be a very very good player. I just want to quote and be a pleb.
bye Matt

Gray offers very little unless on the ball and when he’s not assisting or scoring he offers little else. A passenger. We need more from Gray

Lads I’ll be honest I’m actually not sure about this one. The cliche on this is “it could go either way this”
I just can’t get excited about it.

Pickford's a better keeper. Why would you actively look to downgrade?

I'm pleased about the priorities: Midfield must always be the primary focus. We've already brought in two players for defence, I don't expect more, so a capable backup striker in case DC-L falls injured again is the only other need.
It would be nice to see the back of Tosun, Iwobi, Kenny, and Gomes, but we've probably run out of time.

He comes in on loan and isn’t even eligible for our first two games. Rubbish!!

Ferguson has been released no first team role. Farwell Duncan!
Lampard has spoken! Some cracking back room staff he’s bringing in too!

I think if anything with this post, you have proven that you shouldn't stick to a given policy because there are players out there at different stages of their career who have done a brilliant job for this club. There are as many unknowns coming through as there are big club footballers that have a point to prove.
I also think you are being a bit generous with some of those best signings. Jelavic wasn't, nor Mirallas and then Dom and Stones were bought for the academy. Allan has been a good signing but he was in the other category. Iwobi for all that he was at Arsenal was still on the way up as a footballer and had his best season for them before joining us. He wasn't a cast off.
The difference is the price you pay... big club players cost more and are therefore more expensive when they don't work out but then again we put Gylfi, Williams, and Bolasie on stupid money.
I think one of the best examples I can give is the left hand side of our team under Moyes. Baines, coming through the ranks at Wigan bought for £6.5m. Pienaar, played for Ajax and Borussia Dortmund, bought for £2.48m. Good players come from many different places and I don't think you can just rely on one strategy to build a successful team.

In which case they're not behind Everton are they? Once the appointment is confirmed everybody should be behind him, whatever their personal opinion; no issue with people thinking he's not the right appointment but if/when he is given the job every sane Blue will want him to succeed.

Potentially cost us a couple of games with his recent outings at home. Awful penalty v Brighton, absolute sitter put on the plate v Villa.
His trade is one touch finishing in the penalty area. Can’t shoot or dribble. £60m would be a good price

To be fair he still can't finish. I don't care how many goals he scores...the amount of 1 on 1's he misses is incredible. That said, I give him huge credit for getting into those scoring positions.

To be honest, if he genuinely wants to become a manager why hasn’t he tried to gain experience elsewhere? He’s been under all the failed managers surely that says something isn’t right? I also think other managers should get the opportunity to bring their own staff in. Why should they all take Duncan on under their wing?
Duncan needs to go.

Fell right into Kenwrights hands.
The dramatic screenplay of the 70 year old bloke being heckled by the peasants of Goodison Road. Well done Bill another one for the sympathy vote.
