That's a wrap on another season and I'm immensely proud of the players and the management. That isn't something I expected to be saying after a season of two points deductions and one hell of a bad run of form.
We've faced a lot of adversity this season. Some of it we brought on ourselves but the majority of it was thrust upon us by others, and I think it would have been the end of other teams and other fan bases. They'd have sunk without a trace. Not Everton Football Club and not Evertonians though. We responded magnificently on the whole and fought for everything we've earned this season. Nothing has been handed to us. In fact, we've had nothing but people try and take away what we've earned. For all their efforts they couldn't break us and they've only made us all stronger.
I'm going to enjoy the summer break now and hope that Everton don't find a way to hurt me without even playing.
    Up the fucking toffees!

Shame you won’t be able to see it through to the end Steve, thanks for running another great competition again this season mate🙏

So many reasons to love this lad. If he was even halfway decent going forward he’d be a legend.

If they had sacked him, maybe we'd be grousing about being relegated or maybe we wouldn't: We don't know.
They didn't sack him, and we're definitely not grousing about being relegated: We do know.
But let's move on. Dyche will most likely be our manager when the new season starts. I suggested that his goal this past season was to finish higher up the table than last season. What goals would you give him for next season? The same? Maybe we can put our differences about our manager aside and focus on what we expect him to achieve and how he should be measured.

Dyche has been the ideal manager for where this clubs is at the moment us time.
Fortunately the vast majority of fans can see this and appreciate what he's managed to achieve this season.
Plenty to be picky about, his knockers can dwell on the 14 game winless run if they want to, but Dyche from the first kick of the season asked to be judged on the season as a whole rather over individual results or runs of results be they good or bad.
Made us one to the tightest defences in the league takes some doing, and it will obviously come at the expense of some of our offensive play. I am not expecting miracles in a single season and especially in a season like this one.
Thank fuck those in charge didn't shit the bed and sack him half a dozen games ago.
I am glad we have his steadiness this season and going in to next. as fuck know what that's going to bring us yet.

Probably because we’ve been leaking goals left, right and centre over the past couple of seasons but have had one of the best defensive records in the league this season with Sean Dyche as our manager. Were not pretty on the eye at times but at least we’re consistently well organised, generally well motivated and despite our limitations, always a threat on set-pieces.
Dyche may not be the long-term answer for our beautiful club but he’s more than earned his stripes this season with a smallish squad and knock after knock after knock. It would be pure stupidity to look elsewhere considering our still precarious situation off the field. Stability at management level at least please especially when you factor in we’re likely to be losing a few first team players this summer.

The reality is we’re a lot closer to being Wigan than we are Villa/Brighton. We’re only inconsistent because we’re finally capable of being better than shit at all times like we were under Rafa and Frank (most of the time). It’s been so refreshing to see us be shit only some of the time. We lack cohesion because our squad is threadbare and often injured. We lack attacking threat because our strikers can’t score goals (until DCL very recently) and our wingers are shit or slow, sometimes both. Our attacking mid is Doucoure for christs sake. Run his bollocks off but can’t pick a pass or shoot worth a damn.

You can’t overcome dreadful ownership. We’ve been hanging on by a thread for 3 years now. Our luck is going to run out if we don’t fix by the start of next season. Dyche gets another year at least.

Without the drama of the points deductions he'd served up the exact season I was hoping for in the summer - a boring, mid-table, nothingness of a season.

THANK YOU. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SHOUTING ABOUT ALL SEASON AND SORRY FOR STILL SHOUTING ABOUT IT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE CERTAIN PEOPLE WHOSE NAMES RHYME WITH GALFY AND PAFNIA CAN'T QUITE FIGURE THIS OUT.
Edit: ok phewf I've calmed down now and turned the caps lock off. However, this has been my point all season. We had a torrid run without a win from end of January to early April, but we also had two terrific runs. And considering what a dumpster fire this season has been, "realistically, what should we have expected?" is the best question to ask.

I'm the opposite. I specifically want oil money. It holds the highest value in football. With oil money, you can win trophies and avoid PSR. It's a win-win.

I'm pretty much guessing that should be the case.  Moshiri being involved is what scares me.

its like being told your iPad needs a reboot but the person being asked to perform it is the one who made the error in the first place.

Always been good at putting the cart before the horse. As we wind down every season I'm constantly looking ahead. So here's a catch all thread for important news this summer. Kits, tour/friendlies, PL fixture release etc.
Last summer kits were released: Home June 29 (July 1 year before), Away July 21 (July 18 year before), Third not sure on this one (August 11 year before).
Nothing at all on what the first team is doing for preseason tour/friendlies. Last summer we announced our preseason friendlies on June 8.
PL fixtures will be released Tuesday June 18. Season starts Saturday August 17.
