  1. Been pro Dyche for his work during this tough time but that performance after a training camp has me pretty deflated.

What did we actually work on, we don’t look any more fluent in fact we looked clueless.

That performance was despicable, from everyone & whilst I truly believe our players are bang average we should be doing better.

Pickford probably could’ve claimed that. Unlucky for Coleman when we’ve all been crying out for a change at RB.

It’s poor defending from all 4 for a relatively easy ball in. Pickford definitely could have taken that, he had a pretty average game today to be fair. However it’s really poor from Coleman defensively.

Anyone who saw his howler for Scotland last night will now know why he hasn’t been starting games for us

Not a great moment & it started with his poor touch however he made a great recovery run to win the ball back. Once he had the ball back he was pressed by 2 players. What the CB closest to him, offers no movement or help in that situation. Whilst it’s not a good moment for Patto, that CB could have dropped 5 yards to offer a simple out ball but didn’t.

Great to see Southgate with a young, highly rated, left footed centre back on the pitch bench...only a friendly so we should be looking to the future.

Dunk then demonstrates why you shouldn't play a shite, aging, right-sided centre back on the left. Southgate is a total clown.

I'm watching the game now, at 35 mins when he has just had a moment leading to Belgium's 2nd goal. Horrible defending. England have some serious youth & potential in this squad, shame that a lot of it will get over looked while Southgate is in.

    You know that how?

I took the degrading step of actually opening the fail site to read the article, and there was no mention at all of alcohol.

What there was was, "Mail sport has learned" (no source) blah blah "Dyche is understood (by who? Again no source) to have apologised to Patterson." BLAH BLAH "...caused a stir among fellow restaurant diners." (none of whom felt the need or inclination to talk about it apparently).

Can't believe how ridiculous this thread has got, everyone believing without question a highly dubious report, but not only that, going off into fantasy land to embellish it.

    Love a bit of drama don't we:doh:

It definitely would I felt weeks ago that Patterson should be playing, but now if he starts after what’s happened it would for me feel like Dyche saying there’s no problem between me and Patterson, and if what happened hadn’t happened I wouldn’t even be thinking there’s any chance Patterson starting, because Dyche’s evaluation of him has been clear, he’s not ready or good enough.
Anyhow has anybody seen the odds for Patterson stay I feel there’s a bit of money to be made on this.

Patto should have been in the team from Christmas. No doubt of that. A run of 11 games(?) without a win anyways, would have been valuable time for him to develop in to the player we all know he can be. His ceiling is higher than anyone we have at RB at the moment.

I never said that at all I said he picked his mark.
Dyche is lucky it never went further than it did or he would already be out on his arse.

its quite clear that he didn't say that.

its not very difficult to read this clearly....

    1. would dyche be ok with someone slapping him on the back of the head?

    2.  Would you have expected Joe Royle, Howard Kendall, Ancellotti to slap a players head?

    3. Would such slap Coleman, Tarks, Pickford on the back of the head?

the answer to all those questions is no. Dyche is bang out of order.

It’s more the “he had to pick Patterson & picked his mark” comment which interprets it was a planned moment out of motive.

Simply, I don’t know all the details & clearly not as privy as Patto is to the ins & outs of the inner running of the club. Patto could have said something completely out of line, it could have been a very minor thing that became a bit more than intended, it could have been an act of bullying. Point is I don’t know exactly but from most reports an apology was given & acceptable, which sounds like it’s dealt with. I’m also not saying it’s okay to slap anyone for the record but there is context to be considered.

I’ve only just heard of this today I’ve hardly been on line and don’t read newspapers.
some people think this is the daily mail doing it’s thing on Everton.
well this is true and quite serious I expect Dyche to be gone in the summer you can’t go round slapping players while out on a meal.
it was Coleman and Tarky who took Dych outside to have a word.
it was worse than is being reported but he had to pick Patterson didn’t he the prick like a typical bully picked his mark.

So you’re telling me Dyche went to a team dinner with a pre conceived plan to slap Patterson because he identifies him as an easy target amongst the squad to exert some authority? Like, seriously?

  9. 22 minutes ago, Palfy said:

He’s always had a problem with Patterson as a player, that’s why we have seen a poor Godfrey being shoehorned as a RB, now it would appear his dislike towards Patterson has become personal, or was it always a personal problem he’s had with Patterson, and manifested itself in public after too much sun and vino.
A bully will always show their true colours eventually, bye Dyche and drop your keys off on the way out.
You won’t be missed your long game was shit anyway, and 5 points out of possible 33 should have been what got you the bullet, but ABH on a player is unacceptable and for that you should be dismissed and ashamed.

Again, without any real conclusive evidence this is just a ridiculous stance to take.

No disrespect to you but the only people who have jumped on this are the ones who want Dyche out. Put your feelings to the side for a moment and let the facts comes out about the situation.

  10. I think the whole situation is delicate. The way in which both cases have been communicated however is a farce.

Forest’s spending was a blatant breach of FFP in which they brought in a whole new first team and some. If that is not a clear sporting advantage then what is? How was ours initially deemed as 10 points & theirs 6 (4 received after “cooperation”)

When it comes to our second charge, I think the premier league have given our representatives a loaded gun to wipe the charges with the inconsistency in their rulings.

The starting point has to be £75m and then you talk add ons.

I know we’re financially a bit fucked but we can’t allow ourselves to be bullied on this one.

Absolutely, I think Dyche’s interview a few weeks ago In which he alluded to our financial position & not needing to sell is to strengthen our case with Jarod.

I hope he doesn’t go, another season with him will be massive for us to actually build a foundation.

This did actually happen.... it was in a public restaurant.

look into the details...... Tarkowski had to pull dyche and dyche returned to apologise.

Wonder if dyche would have slapped a senior player on the back of the head?   Wonder what dyche would do if a player slapped him on the back of the head.

long and short - it's not great.

This is most likely a very minor thing that is being turned in to a mountain mate.
