When I was watching the game last night I was hoping they'd win for the money it'll bring in for them. Yeah, it does make it an easier game for us (in theory!) but these clubs survive because of the FA Cup and ties like the one against us.

Love games like these, I was a non-league season ticket holder with my dad and brother as a kid and went to FA Cup games at Watford (lost 4-2), Brentford (won in a replay) and Shrewsbury (lost 2-1) and the atmosphere is something else.
Other side of the coin I've seen Everton beat Woking 1-0; Woking were a credit to their league (and most of the crowd stayed to applaud them on a lap of honour), and Telford 3-0; Telford were total dicks who tried to kick us off the park.
Will be a good day. Seen in interviews the Boreham Wood chairman re-mortgaged his house to get them through covid, and paid all the staff 100% of their wages. It'll be live on TV for sure and they'll make a mint, happy days.

Something else I like about Gordon is that he's a bit of a shithouse. I don't like that he seems willing to outright dive, he needs to cut that out, but he makes sure he wins plenty of fouls to take the pressure off by maybe overplaying contact at times. He also puts himself about and likes a tackle.
He's not a Sergio Ramos type of shithouse, more Tim Cahill. We need that sort of thing in the side because we are too nice at times.
Incidentally, it was fucking lovely to see us play on yesterday while one of their players was playacting rather than put the ball out yesterday.

As for the down votes, not sure about the other lad but I gave you a down vote for calling someone who lives thousands of miles away a tele clapper. The guy lives on another continent and still supports our club, absolutely no need to give him grief for that. 

He hasn’t introduced himself because he’s quite a distance away. 

I thought the opposite. 
I saw a team, not polished by any means, that defended and attacked together. Gomes and Allan were constantly linking with the centre backs, the full backs were offering early width too and we controlled the game on the whole. 
I do think the scoreline was somewhat flattering, which happens with two set piece goals, but I dont think anyone can argue that we deserved the win. Brentford barely had a sniff.
Under Benitez we had 10 headless chickens who could barely pass to a teammate under no pressure. Under Lampard not only could they pass to a teammate, they did it quickly and higher up the pitch. 
I also thought the 5 at the back was the most cohesive I have seen our defence for a while (especially after the early Godfrey set back), but it is also the best I have seen them as a 5 for as long as I can remember. 
It is only one game and it was only Brentford, but at least we turned up and beat them in the way we should have done in the league.
