Palfy reacted to MikeO in Longest Thread! for Everton Discussion
Just checking the site's working OK, no posts today which is odd....is there anybody there?
Or are you all just sulking?

Palfy reacted to duncanmckenzieismagic in Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I think it would be a lot more controversial if you said he was clinical. Anyone who has ever seen him play will know that he has all the tools to be a top class centre forward ( work rate, touch, attitude, physicality, speed, positioning) except for finishing

Yup, know the feeling...fortunately home now so rice on the go for a big bowl of chilli, had a sarnie on the way home as well👍
My eating's been so fucked up for the last decade for one reason and another, it's nice to finally have a proper appetite and behaving taste buds

Controversial opinion: he works hard, but he’s not clinical enough.
We need a creative or opportunistic striker given our poor squad.

Palfy reacted to RuffRob in Board/Owners Related Stuff
This is all getting so frustrating. Given the limbo we are in then, a new owners should give the same 'bounce' effect as a new manager coming in to the club. We are in danger of even missing out on this short term 'positive' of a new enthusiastic owner coming in to the club.
We are counting every point at the moment - so any sort of 'boost' would be very much welcome. This short term 'bounce' could easliy be worth 6 points or more - we have not been massively outplayed in games, and results have been down to fairly tight margins, I feel the optomisum of a new ownership permeating around the club could have been massivley beneficial in the bad run of results we are in.
If the PL are taking their time over this because there focus has been on FFP hearings, then we really have had the shit end of the stick with double whammy of a points deductions (or two!), and currently missing out on a potential new optomisum bounce.
I cant wait for this season to be finished and it fuck all to do with the football or board at the club this time around. All pretty much down to the PL and the fact its as poorly run as Everton football club has been run in the past. As fans we have suffered our own internal shortcoming, but we also seem to be the fans suffering the most from PL shortcoming as well.

Palfy reacted to Wiggytop in Jordan Pickford
Outstanding MOTM performance, and what impressed me most was that he kept his head whilst being jeered at all night, something he’s fallen foul of previously. He does seem happy here so as long as we maintain PL status I can see him staying for long time to come.

Special mention to "Jill Scott" Burn - how every set piece wasn't a free kick to us is beyond me. What an absolute yard dog he is - just wants to slap hands and wrestle

Totally agree, he was all over Branthwaite on every free kick or corner, looked like a fucking windmill in a gale, how its not picked up by officials is amazing.

Palfy got a reaction from Goodison Glory in Sean Dyche
Dyche needs to be braver in his team selection, we need to have players in and around the midfield that have the ability to receive the ball in tight positions and then have the ability to move it on without giving it away.
All so we have stop the long balls from Pickford and Tarkowski as our favourite means of attack, they do us more harm than good, yes clear the ball long when it’s the best option of defending, but not as a tactical decision.
Dyche got lucky today that Pickford wiped is arse for him.
Next game let’s see a team selected to win the game and not just defend it.

Sent my application in.
Still haven’t received a reply. You must be really busy or something and getting round to it. Ye that must be it.

People won't appreciate him until he's not our keeper.

Multiple top top saves that are almost considered routine for him now.

Hope so mate, starting with a midfield of Onana, Gana, and Doucoure meant we never going to be in control of the game. Gomes and Garner gave us so much more creativity and time with the ball, the difference was like night and day.

I had to attend conference calls all afternoon and missed the game. The BBC report is interesting, though: "Both sides had chances in an open second half, with substitute Joe Garner hitting the post for Everton within six minutes of his introduction." Did we just recruit a new player?

Eddie Howe is ageing! Reckons VAR only gave the penalty because it was Ashley Young, where did that come from?😂

Great point wasn’t expecting that, Gomes brought some composure and quality to the possession when he came on, for me he turned the game in our favour. DCL deserved that goal after his hard work in the last 21 games.
Pickford like so many times was the difference made some crucial saves to keep us in the game he’s my motm.
