Really pleased with the update Dyche gave after the game in that he was talking etc.

I'm down the other end but it looked a very nasty one and McNeil's reaction had me fearing the worst.

Made me love McNeil even more. You can tell he's got a lovely nature has the lad.

get well soon Beto.  I thought i seen tarks gesture to his mouth, hopefully his skull brain & teeth are ok.

Amazing performance from him today. He covered every bit of the pitch and his runs with the ball to get us up the pitch were invaluable.

I must admit, I shouted no as he swung his foot back to shoot . While it wasn't the best hit shot, the placement of it was perfect.

    Comfortably MOTM.

Yeah brilliant.  Maybe Onana could look on and see what a midfield performance is meant to look like.

posing prick sat getting splinters while a bloke 12 years older done more running in 90 minutes than he has in 2 months.

I’m so glad you were very wrong. I’m sure you are, too.

Delighted I'm wrong.  Not been able to bring my stress levels down. Not sure if there was sarcasm in that but many true Evertonians are struggling to see the shoots of optimism that maybe less emotionally invested fans are. The type who dip their toes in - so to speak.  I'm sure you are absolutely fine and relaxed about it as much as I'm relaxed about the dychy of Cornwall bollocks that seems to get your goat.

Like I said when people were getting carried away by dyche - shake hands, thanks, goodbye in the summer.

nothing has changed in my book. We are light years off where we should be with our players.  We need a coach.

I've not read it like that, tbh.

I've read that as him laying it on a plate for the players. Most years over the last 7 or so we end up with the same thing.

To me, he's saying he's fighting and they can too. But he's not going to get sacked because of them, like other managers have.

Now, for me, these words would carry more meaning if we hadn't been on a shit run...

However, I do agree there is an air of arrogance. Like...on one hand hes saying he's responsible etc etc, on the other he's on the players regards the past.

I'm a bit bored of hearing about the off field stuff (points, owners etc). I get it has an impact, but it's his job to get the results still...not then come back and say 'look how hard this is for me...'

It's still a results business and that long run wasn't acceptable.

Like I've said before, judgement day at the end of the season. For now, full support and limp over the line.

They get full support. Like always....when I go the game I support the team irrespective of what I think of manager or players. When I don't go the game my attention is on the team as much as it can be.

fact is - dyche is turning the focus on the players when in all honesty I think how he sets us up and selects players and makes subs is the most detrimental to us.

he had us committing forward vs pacey Chelsea away vs sitting back at home to Burnley. It was like Lampard vs spurs over a year ago - like complete and uttter lunacy.

he is throwing his toys out the pram, this is the last throw of the dice to get a reaction and doesn't often go well at all.  To say to the players "you got previous managers sacked but I'm going nowhere" which is pretty much how I read it is some fighting talk.

For me he can only be talking to Pickford, dcl, tarks, doucs, mykolenko and Onana, and if that lot Onana and doucoure are the 2 who fit that bill.  No doubt in my mind Onana needs hauling over the coals along with Doucoure to a small degree.

None the less I feel he is carrying scar tissue from his Burnley sacking where the players stopped listening to him.
