Many Evertonians forget that Moyes works with these players on a daily basis and it would be to his benefit if they were ready to be first team starters and better than what we've got.
 
Not every youngster is the new Wayne Rooney, not every youngster is better than what we have. I remember some wanting Junior in over Neville - on what basis? Yes Neville may have lean spells but replace him with someone who we all know little about - nonsense!
 
Look at the bigger picture and look to Leon Osman as an shining example - into his 30's now and didn't starting playing 1st team until 23 but feels like he's been here forever. Not all players are thrown in at 16,17,18 - ROONEY IS A ONCE IN A HOWEVER MANY YEARS!

Back on to Capoue (kind of) - surely Sissoko who we've watched a few times is a more likely target with him being a free agent in the summer and the club seemingly ready to cash in rather than loose him for nothing.

I've gone for Pienaar, every time the ball came to him it stuck and we kept possession. He stood out so much when compared to Naismith who was the complete opposite. Obviously baines/chebes were our match winners but I must also mention Jelavic for working his balls off!

Put him in the Felli role off Jela and Felli back in the middle would be my preference.

I gamble about £5 a week on english football during the season so say 30 odd weeks making £150 - over the course of a year that's not really a lot of money - I was 1 factor off winning £390 yesterday in the past I have won up to £120, the pro's outweigh the cons for me and on a non-EFC day like yesterday suddenly Bristol rovers vs dag & red is important - it makes Saturday's that little but more fun!!!

Baines/Oviedo/Osman were the only ones to turn up - very frustrating!!! Moyes annoyed me today - we needed Barkley on for Pienaar or Naismith on 60-70mins - maybe he doesn't trust the players he had on the bench but we looked tired in areas and it needed freshening up! Another 2 points lost and disappointingly a fair result overall!

Downing played cm in his time at villa - probably his most successful spell was in a central role.
 
Personally I wouldn't want him as I have my doubts over his metal strength/confidence but if we signed him I certainly wouldn't oppose it. I think Moyes and his team will be the best to judge if he's worth pursuing.

Arteta would make us better still, a lot better. He's top notch, that's why he's not coming back as Arse wouldn't dream of letting him go!

I thought AJ was a good player for us and was delighted when he signed... Beattie for £6m however, I wanted Ashton for £3m - but we still made the top 4 and he bagged a couple (literally) of important goals to help secure it!

Ibra is an in-fooking-credible player, I don't get why people say he's shite or over-rated - hasn't he won the league for the team he plays for, for the last 8 seasons in a row or something silly? He will do with PSG too no doubt.

I don't think there's a problem with our 4-2-3-1, it's just the fact that Gibbo makes that 2 so much better. I'd stay with this system but target 2 Cm's who can play in the system - I think Holtby and Lallana could be very interesting (and they're both blues). Both could be available in the summer certainly with maybe a cheeky bid in Jan enough to snatch Holtby early?
