This hoofing has to fucking end. I can't watch us play this type of game. I'd rather watch a video of my own birth.

    Why?

Consecutive promotions, five points from the last three games including draws v Chelsea and Arsenal.....two defeats in the last twelve games (Everton have had two defeats in the last eleven).

I can't understand it at all.

If Jelavic was missing chance after chance then I'd understand people calling for him to be dropped. But the fact is we're not creating chances for him and he's spending too much time outside of the area in the hope of seeing the ball once every now and again.

Im with this. Jelavic for me is a top class striker going through a rough patch. I would normally say we should drop players like this but Jelavic is still working hard and doing what he always has done. His head hasnt dropped once. The only time he has played crap is when the we have played crap as a team and generally hoofed it up to him. He is a striker that wants the ball on the deck, running towards goal with plenty of support. We simply havent done that enough recently.

All young players need competitive games. You can say what you like about training and U21 games but they mean jack shit when it comes to playing 1st team footy on a saturday in front of 40,000 people. You learn all the technique and crap at Finch Farm but you dont know how to play top flight 1st team football until you play it. For me Vellios looks to have good technique, he reads the game well and has good physical strength, whilst also not being that slow off the mark. The aspect he lacks is that real match experience, what to do when it comes to crunch time when the pressure is on and unfortunately the only place to learn is on the pitch, either with Everton or on loan somewhere else.

Snob! Shinji Kagawa was signed by Dortmund from the second tier in Japan. It's good that there are scouts in Asia.

Actually thought Neville played his role perfectly today. Always on hand to stifle their half assed counter attacks. The problem was the substitution. Should have been Hitz on, not Nais. That would have left Felli up top and offered a threat from distance, which, since we weren't breaking them down, we needed.

It's a joke, I'd rather Hitz came on and Fellaini stayed up top, we were more threatening 10 mins ago.

The simple truth is that if we want European football we need to be winning games from here on in and hope others drop.

    If we don't, we won't.

Although the stats say that. they dont show how many goals have been saved after his mistakes or bad judgment.
Anyone watching can see that there is a world of difference between Jags and heits at the moment and if moyes dropped Jags for him, then he should be sacked.
I dont think there is a manager in the world that would pick heits above jags for form at the moment.

Thats probably why your not the manager and Moyes is, Heitinga is a liability this season and you think the obvious thinng to do is play him more

I agree, Johnny is playing without confidence or passion and is destabalising influence on our defence.

Comparing stats of who concedes goals in games is with respect telling only part of a story as you have to take into account who they were playing, errors by players in front of them who gave away chances and individual mistakes by defenders leading to goals.

Everytime I have seen Heitinger play this season he has looked nervy and his partner has looked even more nervy playing alongside him. Better get him off the wage bill, and free up money. If we can do a Yobbo and loan him out anf free up some money to pay for a loan deal. Lescott, although I favour giving Duffy a run as he has looked good when he has played, I would go for another ball playing CM to cover Gibson.

Meant to be on his way to Lyon for 3m, I hope so! Don't rate him at all, he had one good game away at Sunderland last season and since then he seems to of lost all his pace and looks weak. Would be a great piece of business if we got 3m for a player we only spent 1m on

I think Oviedo's emergence makes Gueye irrelevant. Would like for Moyes to move him just to free up some cash.

you cant really judge Heitinga and is has not had a run of games to build up form like Jags and Distin have, as said Moyes likes left foot right foot pairing and Jags is slightly better than Heitinga on his day. unless Jags is injured Heintinga sadly wont play so if 7 mill is mooted and 3 mill for Gauye i would take them both.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The team can't even buy a clean sheet (let alone anything else) atm, and Heitinga seems to be part of the issue. Undoubtedly he has immense quality on his day, but its been a long time since I've thought he wasn't a liability at CB compared to Jagielka or Distin.

We won, and got important 3p, but to be honest, i dont know how we did it. This was certainly one of our worst games this season. Johnny-Distin pair, doesn work, Jags on right, doesnt work, nev on midfield, doesnt work, Naisy right, doesnt work... How tha hell we won? What ever happens, i dont want us to start with this 11 and formation never again. In this season, or never. Happily newcastle is so poor atm that we can win, doing almost anything right there. Felli should been on fire today, have rested week where we had 3 games. But it looked more that hes just rusty, lol. Bainesies screamer was beauty, and Vic´s goal from first touch after sub, was the difference. We need Mirallas and Seamus back in business ASAP.

    Edit: MOTM definitely Baines

Edit2: Its strange, but i aint even pissed off this Atkinson this time. I think he did well today, and have to say, im really surprised about it.

When we scored on 2 minutes against Chelsea we lost 2 - 1 so as Newcastle scored on 2 minutes they should lose this one.

Sends such a shitty message - he worked his bollocks off against Chelsea and then is rewarded for it by getting dropped. Working hard and having a great game obviously means fuck all.

Yes Fellaini's back, but Vic had earned his spot and Fellaini could have easily just gone to his best position - midfield.

    I'm very disappointed with Moyes.

He's been great for Moreirense from what I've seen of them this season. Sporting and Braga are rumoured to be extremely interested as well. I'd love to have him at Everton.
