Get in! Great game, who needs possession?
Mirallas back, Osman improved. Naismith looks like he could be our Dirk Kuyt, rubbish, but gives his all and gets important goals. Gareth Barry wears an Everton shirt to bed, wouldn't know he's only been at the club two weeks.

I normally love Coleman, but he is taking on his man too much with the stepovers. It's becoming a little too predictable.

Ooooh Davie you wanted to sign Baines as cover for Evra eh, yeah just like we got Lukaku in as a goalscoring cover for Steven Naismith.

Wanting to leave it late? I thought clubs doing that was out of order and you wouldn't do it yourself.

Congrats on the 2-0 win over Palace, are you going to fine Young for his ridiculous dive like you did to Phil Neville? or does that all change now that you are a Manc?

    There you go Marco.

Fellaini says he's noticed how much more intense training is at United... erm, he's being trained by exactly the same people he's been trained by for the last 5 years!

Excluding Man City, Moyes total 11 year prem record against the top 4/key clashes is shocking... out of 22 fixtures per team here are the stats... Including City does distort the numbers somewhat as they were considered a mid/lower team until the sheikhs buyout in 2008 when they went through a big transition to top 4.

    Arsenal:- W3 D5 L14
    Man United: W3 D5 L14
    Chelsea: W3 D8 L11
    Liverpool: W3 D6 L12

A win rate of 13.6%.... a loss rate of 58%....

after witnessing his two games for United against Chelsea and Liverpool I do not think it was player related, more the fact that he has absolutely no bottle or nous as to how to beat the more elite teams

pete0 reacted to Bailey in John Heitinga
Heitinga's case is a weird one because he has played against bigger and stronger striker's that the likes of Benteke and Cole and absolutely dominated them but for some reason the year after he won player of the year, he went to the Euros (or WC!?) and put in some of the worst performances I have ever seen from him and that transferred into his club form last season.

I think part of the problem is that he is a confidence player and he needs to play week in week out. Even when he came into the first team, he looked dodgy and it was after a run of games that he started to really dominate some of the best strikers in the league. He was dealing with situations that Jags and Distin hadnt even thought of some of the time and his ability to play that accurate long ball was a really good outlet for us, not to mention someone that was happy to draw a defender in without panicking. Now though, he cant even do that properly and those long passes we used to take for granted arent hitting their man, or at least regularly enough and instead of using his aggression and attitude to bully the striker off the ball, now they are doing it to him. Not to mention, when he did fuck up before, he at least put the effort in to rectify the situation but now he seems to accept it and sulk a little.

I have no doubt that he is the best CB we have at the club if you looked at this all round ability, but the confidence was knocked out of him last year and I don't see any sign of it returning.

    1. Atmosphere - whilst I dont get to go to many home games anymore, its always the thing that sticks out the most for me. Theres the initial couple of minutes at kickoff then maybe a few random chants but the only real noise is when we score or if something is going against us. Very disappointing for the most part, but when there is noise, its incredible.

    2. Badge - hate it. Though it did give me the impetus to design my own which was fun, and at least the Club reacted well. I just hope that they've learned a leasson.

    3. For as long as I can remember, the away fans have had that corner. I understand from a welcoming point of view we could find a better place, but that has 2 downsides:
a ) Everton fans would have to be displaced
b ) who wants the away fans being that comfortable anyway, that will only help the opposition team!

    4. The phone call you refer to (assuming it did take place) was reiterating the same news that had been communicated throughout the day on SSN. Its a sign of the Club communicating with its fans, which is not something we are used to and have been demanding for a long time. Step in the right direction in my opinion

I remember a certain moyes playing him against villa were he got ridiculed on the pitch. The game after at old Trafford all be it due to a late injury concern moyes again put faith in him only for him to cost us the first and crucial goal..... If ya know ya history ya muppett's.....stop defending a player who can't defend.

Johnny's game has never involved pace he has always been a master of reading the game so he would never of got himself into that position were it would be a foot race as am sure he knows more than anyone he would lose. He is very much like Weir in the way that he never relies on pace.

There's a reason as to why Distin has to play next to Jags, Jags is prone to errors more so than Johnny and quite a lot of the time due to Distins pace he gets Jags out of jail.

Distin and Heitinga is the best partnership we have hands down.

On his day he is easily the best defender we have, problem is those days have been few and far between bar one freak season resulting in his player of the season award. A move is probably the best option for both parties imo.

Some folk on here do make me laugh though, how can you say you want to move on from Moyes hoofball then say you want rid of a defender like Heitinga? He is exactly the type of defender we need to play this new system
