See, this is the difference between Moyes, Neville, and crew versus Martinez. When Roberto left Wigan, it was all smiles for everyone. He made gracious comments about Dave Whelan, he spent time at local events to say goodbye to the fans, and he's praised Wigan more than once this season. It was the same when he visited Swansea, again making very positive comments about the team and their new manager. Not once has he criticized either team. When he looked to recruit McCarthy, he went about it in a very professional manner.

Cue David Moyes, who, upon leaving Goodison, talked immediately about how Everton feared OT (truth is, it was Moyes personally who feared OT), about how we were holding back Baines' and Fellaini's careers, and how we're only good because of what he's done. Now here's Phil Neville, who could be congratulating Everton for a fine season and for being in contention for Europe. Instead, he has to talk down to us, implying that we're a little club that can't handle pressure - presumably while United are a big club that can. It's so unnecessary. While I get frustrated with Haf's constant criticism of Moyes, I can understand it. Moyes and crew appear to have no people skills and simply don't know how and when to be gracious.

Well, this weekend, United will be under a lot of pressure to win. So let's see which team cracks under the pressure.

That strengthens the argument for me. Sold one first team player and brought in 3, overall improving the first team plus an extra one strengthening the bench add the kids getting a chance and RM has got us the best Everton squad in over a decade.

Oh, and as for all the 'shoestring budget' shite, anyone who's read soccernomics knows that the correlation is between league position and wage bill, not league position and transfer fees. Other than a few overachieving and underachieving years, Moyes generally finished on par relative to wage bill. Also, he did spend a fair bit so enough with the 'shoestring budget, miracle worker' pish you bitter cunts. Stop believing everything the clueless English media tell you you fucking sheep. It's far harder to achieve success playing good football a la Martinez, than it is by playing the shit on a stick that Moyes is famous for.

So you can stop propagating that ill-informed 'miracle worker' myth. Try educating yourselves before talking shite.

And what's your obsession with loan signings? You didn't mind Martinez exploiting the loan system when you were sending shite like Cleverley to him at Wigan. If Everton were tenth and you were sat atop the league you wouldn't give a shit about the loan signings - you're just bitter and looking for anything you can find to put Everton down. It's pathetic. Try being men and giving other teams credit for once.

Many of your players and staff are average as all fuck - Cleverley, Jones, Welbeck, Evans, Smalling, Rafael, Valencia, Hernandez, Fellaini, Anderson, Fletcher, P Neville, Moyes, Round etc - all overhyped nothing players and average staff. Vidic, Evra, Van Persie, Rio - all past it. Just accept that you're mediocre and without Ferguson's will and bullying you're being exposed for the shite that you are. We all know you've been playing shite football for the last five years anyway - I've seen enough of you to know that.

Couldn't stop laughing when Ferguson tried to play 442 with the likes of Giggs in the engine room against Barca - twice. Tactically inept.

"What is astonishing is that they think RM is the messiah already, using a team inherited from Moyes, not even 1 season and a bunch of fucking loan players. Lets see where they are in a couple of seasons time."

This guy has no clue of how to analyse football. Absolutely none. What a troglodyte.

Only got back from your nice city this afternoon (good beer, nice ppl and 3 points (as I wanted))
Whay a great day (few) as a Palace fan, I think I mentioned Mile Jedinak ( Squawka Football ‏@Squawka 2h
Mile Jedinak has made 128 interceptions in the league this season, that's 20 more than any other player across Europe's top five leagues.)

I said he would fill that hole, you had the better of the ball, but as a few on here have said, no point crossing it without looking up or getting players in the box, thanks for more or less making sure we stay up, I hope you beat Arsenal to 4th spot, at least your fans try to sing unlike the "Library" in North London, thought the atmosphere could have been better (from your point of view) but I think the occasion & nerves got to you more than us, it was a no lose game for us (we expected to get nothing from you) as we will against Man City & our last home game vs Liverp**l, we may yet to have a big say who wins the title, anyway wish you all well, great City & people and I WILL be back next season

If Moyes wasn't half the shite manager that he is man United would be taking one of the champions league places as they have done for the past stupid amount of years. The year after winning the league he has taken them to their lowest points tally, whilst spending near £70m on 2 players??? Suprised Moyes never took you along with Neville and round just to kiss his useless arse all that more dunc...

I expect us to beat them, Moyes will make it tough by setting his team up like pulis and allardyce... but we will win.

If one of McCarthy or Barry is to be sacrificed for a more attacking player it should only ever be Barry, IMO. While Barry has been fantastic for us, if he's having an off game, like last night, he has zero effect on our play. At least if McCarhy is below par you still get his energy in the middle of the park, and energy there is vital to the way we play.

We needed Jags tonight... far too much standing off in defence.

Really poor atmosphere until 0-1, then 1-2 and 2-3.

Roberto was bold in his selection - he knew they'd sit back but it resulted in us only playing down the flanks with only Rom in the box, we needed Naismith with him from the start and we desperately need more strikers (which we all know).

Hats off to Palace... I think we've just been Pullised!!! On Pullis, I would put him in the top 3 with Rodgers and Martinez for manager of the season - he's worked a miracle at Palace.

Sorley missed, after winning 6 on the bounce and destroying Arsenal...
As the only one, Pienaar's temporary replacement, Deulofeu never drives into the area, its why he wont make it at Barcelona...

For the first time tonight we struggled to complete passes.

    For me, the rest of Pienaar's play is;
Stand around, hope i get the ball, thanks Bainsey lad, i'll over complicate this next easy pass, tries back flick, aww fuck went the opposition, look dispondent, run back to retrieve at 60% energy but wave arms energetically so it looks like im really trying, ooooh...hes gone. Lunge in, give away foul. Repeat for 90minutes.

I guarantee, when Ossie and Pienaar start, we'll have a lower pass accuracy/completion rate, than without at least one of them.

If Fellaini had the same build as Veira you'd be loving him. Fellaini is quicker than you give him credit for, because his body is disproportionate it doesn't look as quick and the passes don't look as finesse. Out of interest, what do you think of Ivanovic at Chelsea?

Mirallas direct running and willingness to shoot at range draws defenders to him, which creates space for others.

The last few months he seems more like a leader and does pass more, I think Martinez has been the making of him, and we will be a vital player for us.

Don't see how you can use his consistency against him. He was played out of position every other week. Look at Arteta under Moyes, went missing and crabbed it far too often goes to Arsenal and they missed him more than when RVP wasn't playing.

So he could buy McCarthy and have cash to find a striker. Which in the bigger picture was the smart thing to do.

But if he's available at a good price we should be in for him. One of the best DM's I've saw, if we had Felli sitting, McCarthy running and Barkley behind the striker Everton would be up there with most midfields in the world. If Barkley's defensive ability improves they could all swap positions temporarily during the game so we could play more towards total football as well.

Why would he go from Chelsea's bench to City's? He wants to be first choice at a Champs League club so that rules Spurs out and hopefully Arsenal.

There is not even an argument that his best season was last season (behind the striker). He's played deeper this season for United and has been shite. Did you watch him at old Trafford against Bayern? He was lost.
He's overrated and I wouldn't want him anywhere near this team. He's not good enough. Especially as a DM

I don't care about them winning the league, it's the thought of how revolting their fans are going to be. It's not their proper fans that will be hard to stomach, it's the ones who crawl out of the woodwork whenever they win but you hear fuck all from when they lose.
