EFC-Paul reacted to Btay in Chelsea (Away) Sunday November 11th
Results have gone our way with Watford and Bournemouth dropping points, United play city. Could be a huge result here.

EFC-Paul reacted to Romey 1878 in Ross Barkley
Swarm him and give him a kick nice and early. Take time away from him and hit him hard and the lad will disappear.
I just wish it was at Goodison so he could really hear the fans. He might’ve even cried then.

EFC-Paul reacted to StevO in Muhamed Besic
Has anyone seen him play or just romanticising about him flying into tackles and generally looking hard and like he cares so much?
I remember him trying to be an elite level footballer and not cutting the mustard. I also remember every manager since Roberto pretty much thinking the same.
The lad is not good enough, if he was it wouldn’t be Boro that’s giving him a game. There are plenty of teams who would take a good midfielder, unfortunately for him, he isn’t one.

EFC-Paul reacted to aaron in Muhamed Besic
I must be daft or something because I just don't see "best midfielder we have" or "would work well in our team" at all.
Marco must be daft too because he gave him the chance in pre season and look where he is now. Championship / lower prem is his level, Everton aren't.

Can't handle anymore of this. I'll open it up when the nonsense stops.

EFC-Paul reacted to Romey 1878 in André Gomes
He’s much stronger than I thought he was. He’s not easily shrugged off the ball. Has a good burst of speed, without being particularly quick, his passing is lovely, he’s calm and composed on the ball.
I love him.

EFC-Paul reacted to Isaiah in Brighton and Hove Albion (Home) Saturday November 3rd
Brighton's Ex-Evertonian defender Shane Duffy on BBC live text:
"We knew coming here they were a good team and we had to keep it tight. They didn't have to work hard for their goals. They are good here. A couple of individual mistakes, which happens. It is a bad day at the office. We didn't play second half, they dominated the game and fully deserved it. They are going places."
Good lad

So is Shane Duffy. Richarlison sent him to a whole new reality

Loving this performance. Brill. Get gomes signed. Digne is class

EFC-Paul got a reaction from Cornish Steve in James McCarthy
I genuinely can't wait for him to make his return to the first team tbh
Not that anyone's been poor but on his day fit and ready the lads an absolutely class act, having him come on for the last 30/20 today would have made a big impact I'm sure

EFC-Paul reacted to Matt in Movember
As I alluded to the other day, it's been a tough 12+ months. For my 10 year anniversary of doing this, the proceeds are going towards mens mental health. Any help is appreciated!

EFC-Paul reacted to Romey 1878 in Ross Barkley
How many of our players have flags unfurled for them? Let’s not forget our shit fans did that eh? I’m not saying he didn’t get terrible abuse that he shouldn’t have received, but don’t act like he didn’t get support and big support at that. He split the fans, it wasn’t just hatred thrown at him.
Personally, my head will pop if he lives up to his potential now . And that’s not to do with bitterness (or not entirely anyway!). It’s because I believed in him for so long, and backed him and backed him to anyone that doubted him. He’s got fantastic ability, everything you could want ability-wise in a midfielder. I truly believed he could have been one of the best around. And what made it even better is that he was a blue, one of us. We saw glimpses of it, but not enough. Then he fucks off and, make no mistake, he fucked the club over the way he left.
So, all of that added up, I will be gutted if he does for Chelsea what he could, and should, have done for Everton.

EFC-Paul reacted to markjazzbassist in Aaron Ramsey
you must not watch them, ozil plays on the left like he did at madrid and like silva does for city. ramsey plays as the 10 in the middle. he doesn't play dropped back, that's xhaka.
-
EFC-Paul got a reaction from Cornish Steve in Theo Walcott
He's been awful Palfy I fully agree and it pains me to say it but the lad looks completely shot at times
I'd play Kenny tbh not as quick but his end product is better and positionally although he isn'tt great is better than what Coleman's has been
Definitely a position we need to look at adding to in the near future

EFC-Paul reacted to Matt in André Gomes
I really hope we're already planning a bid for him in January to make his transfer permanent. Probably wishful thinking, but I hope!

EFC-Paul got a reaction from London Blue in Bernard
The lad just needs some adjustment time, he's been here two minutes hardly played and new to a very physical and fast paced league
He'll be fine once he moves inside more, I said when he first signed he'd be our Silva/Countinho and stand by it

EFC-Paul reacted to Hafnia in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
This isn'tt a point scoring exercise but merely a point to try and hopefully validate something that lukaku did at Everton and he did today which makes a huge difference to the opposition's ability to attack.....
Rashford wasn't exactly brilliant on the ball today and did very little from a threatening perspective but United missed him big time when he went off. The reason was his work off the ball and his interplay with the other 2.
Our defence was getting pressed to death by martial rashford and mata.. it made building attacks very difficult and whist our defence did play well. In particular Keane - it was when lukaku came on that we profited. He literally let Keane stroll past him time after time. He made Keane look like John stones. From that situation it made things far more easy for us.
You just can't have lazy forwards.... we seen today what martial achieved vs Walcott.
I know there has been lots said on this topic but surely no one watching him today would we t him back for £50/£60m. You just lose too much in the side. United were fluid before he came on.

EFC-Paul reacted to nogs in Weirdness Abounds (or the Idrissa Gana Gueye Thread)
I honestly don't get that argument Steve. Winning the ball justifies the challenge.
Compare it to trying to make an incisive 30 yard through ball to put the striker through on goal. If the defender intercepts it, you can say well maybe he should have played a simpler pass and kept possession. But as soon as that ball reaches its target, its a great bit of play and the right decision. That's how I see making challenges in the box - it's the right decision if you can and do win the ball fairly, which Gana did.

EFC-Paul reacted to Shukes in Bernard
I don’t get what people are seeing to be fair.
To me, he is creative, skilful, a lot tougher than his size suggests, and works hard for the team. He very nearly scored an excellent goal against Utd. He also had You g on the backfoot most of the match. Thought he did well to be honest.
-
EFC-Paul reacted to Cornish Steve in Bernard
He’s going to become one of our most exciting players. He needs time to adjust to the league and to our emerging team.
-
EFC-Paul reacted to Palfy in Michael Keane
When people were slating him last season I said most defenders would struggle in our team they were constantly under pressure, this season the midfield is better organised and we keep the ball better up front which gives the central defenders more time to organise and compose themselves in stead of constantly being on the back foot in blowing out their arses.
Even Williams would look better in a team that protects the defence by keeping the ball.
-
EFC-Paul reacted to Sibdane in Theo Walcott
Definitely don't hate him, but he's been poor the last few games. He still has an important part to play, it's just that Lookman looked energized and hungry when he has came on recently.
Also, Richarlison and Bernard aren't as culpable for the goals against us as Theo was, so they have a little slack there (also didn't think they had bad games).
-
EFC-Paul reacted to Hafnia in Theo Walcott
Hate? I don't hate.
I'm intolerant of laziness/poor attitude from footballers.
One player??? No. Throw mirralas, schneiderlein, lukaku, lookman into the mix and you will spot the theme.
Sorry it doesn't quite fit the agenda of favouritism/fanboyism/boo boy ..... I dont roll that way.
