    Would never work
Your hoping by playing a player to tire legs out that the game is still winnable at that point, no side in the game uses a workhorse for 70 mins hoping the games still within distance to then bring on their better striker...... makes no sense whatsoever

He's 22 he's not a 16/17 year old with bags of room for growth as some seem to make out, granted it's a tough task to be upfront on his own etc
I like him he's a grafter and seems a great lad who has undeniably improved in the last year or so but for me personally he has a clearly visible ceiling that I don't think he'll brake it and go on to become good enough to lead our line olif we want to push on and we don't have the luxury of allowing him to "possibly" improve ala Anichebe
I think he's a great asset to have for the last 30/20 mins of games when legs are tired with his physicality and pace or a foil for a more rounded better partner
There's to much rose tinted optimism towards some of the younger players (there not kids) at times when loyalty outweighs clear ability

This. No doubt there is potential, but he needs more goals to show he’s anything more than average.

I love it, the concept is great, its going to look amazing.
For those who don't like it, I can appreciate that taste is a personal thing, and the new stadium was never going to make everyone happy.
But please do me and yourselves a favour, and do the following 3 things:
    1) Have a look at the Destination Kirkby video below.

    2) Now look at the proposed new stadium video again
    3) Go to the closest mirror, and have a word with yourself.

Yup, "Architects say the stadium's brick and steel construction will make it appear "as though it has risen from the dock" in tribute to the city's maritime past."
Nowt about red brick stickers there!

Yep - let’s ignore him being the leading striker in Croatia’s World Cup runners-up team only 12 months ago and the fact that he still played 33 games for Juventus last season and just say he’s a has been because he’s 33. It seems a common theme with you that if a player is past 30, you’ll write them off - very odd!

He’s better than Davies. That’s what I’m choosing to cling to comfort me.

Davies has played a few roles - DM, CM, AM - and excelled at none of them.

Considering some of the names people pluck out of thin air and talk about like they'll make us a top 4 team, dunno why anyone would be anything other than made up at the prospect of signing a 29 year old utility player who has won two league titles and has a 20 England caps for £8m. I just can't see any negatives.

Plus he was mostly used against the poorer teams who are more comparable to the likes of Fulham. Personally think German football is struggling at the moment as the best teams in Germany tend to recruit from the teams below them in their own league whilst bleeding players abroad.

he was getting paid more than i will likely ever make in a salary in my life, and he was 18, i was playing for free.  i am not for the abuse, i think it's horrendous.  but the way the system works is those neanderthals paid for a ticket and can yell and scream at the players if they want to.  every club has those fans, so to act like that is to blame is missing the point, they are everywhere, so it's a moot point.  koeman/martinez, contract treatment sure that's debatable, but the fans yelling things is not in my opinion.  there is no safe place stadium in the UK or probably even the world, unless its a closed doors match.

It’s true to be honest we haven’t been in touch for a while, his dad was a local builder and we both had Keyline accounts so you to see Paul in there with his old man during school holidays and then when he started making a name for himself at Swindon I’d see him out in town with some of the other players and started drinking with him because we already had a connection.
He got me tickets for the cup final, and then got me a signed shirt from the team, the tight git charged me for the shirt saying he bought it from the club shop.
He was the same at Swindon youngest player to play and score for the Town at 16 he looked like an adult in stature strong and mobile.
He is a great person one of the lads not a big time Charlie.

Where has this saved us more points than he’s cost us come from. I’m sick of saying this but keepers are there to make saves.. I can’t remember saves he’s made thinking he had no right to make the save. Most good saves are down to poor finishing at premier league level. All keepers in the premier league are good shot stoppers and regularly make “good saves” weekly. The better keepers are the ones who make less mistakes. The best compliment you can give a keeper is solid. He’s made more mistakes than any other keeper and is a keeper I would describe as erratic. Erratic is the worst adjective you can use to describe a keeper.

And (believe it or not, where does the time go) today is the five year anniversary of my last treatment, which means I'm all clear. I still have one final check to come in May but it's just a formality, five years is the magic number so I'll be around for a while yet. Sorry.

Yes, I am also seriously surprised Rubes.   There is a word for individuals who, having been elected to represent a party and a manifesto, instead force their own (and different) views onto the people who voted for them.  'Dictatorial' is the word that comes to mind.  If these people had any integrity they would resign as MP's and trigger a by-election and put their views to the test.  Some hope, we are talking politicians here.

Because I don't have to Mike just because you tell people to do something doesn't mean they have to bow to your whim, my opinion differs to yours it's simple
If you went about it in a more polite manner and not sat upon that high horse I'd have obliged
I've seen more than enough to come to that conclusion and so have the hierarchy and security services of this country and Bangladesh's to deem her a threat

What do you mean by that Mike?
Just because I have a varying opinion to yours one that I personally think is more than justified doesn't mean you have to see your arse
There's plenty of footage pictures quotes from herself and multiple others who have interviewed her and so on that justify why she's had her passport revoked then again they've done it because she's not committed any offenses their just racists I guess Mike?
"Expected no more" 😂 fuck sake Mike get off your high horse
