I'd like that. A lot. And hopefully we'd see Barkley getting on for proper minutes to replace Pienaar.

    1. He was 20 at that time.
    2. Do you remember how awful that Hull City team was?

How the hell is this a fair comparison? Altidore was 20 years old at the time. Kone was 29 when he scored 11 for Wigan. Altidore just scored 31 total goals this past season, including the game winner against PSV for the Dutch Cup. He has scored four goals in his last four games at the international level. But fuck me, let's judge him on a loan spell from three years ago when he was barely even developed.

I'll try and sift through the nonsense and translate for DK - 1 good game against an out-of-sorts defence (not even a full game, right?) doesn't mean we should take a punt.

An unknown South American right back at a couple of million is hardly going to pull at the purse strings at ManU!!! We've got to count every penny here so Martinez will make his moves when he's fully assessed what needs addressing.

I'd happily take £24m for Felli. Dissappointed with his overall attitude, inconsistency, noises etc. Great player when he decides to be but he is a luxury we can't afford to retain and is certainly one we could replace for less.

If he was an 8/10 every game then his price would be £35m plus, the reality is that he is 9/10 one game and then 6/10 the next.

I would like a "speedier" midfield destroyer, one who can rally the team like a Graeme Souness (wishful), Mcarthy fits the bill at a reasonable price.

I dispise the "get behind the team" shout that's carted out whenever someone is unhappy about something the club has done. We're always behind the team and the badge (and being annoyed about it) won't change that.

Cant see the us going to the Emirits and beating the arse 2-0. However I think its a winnable game if we set our minds to it.
Personally I'd like to see Jela and Anichebe up front with Fellaini and Gibson in the centre of midfield. Fellaini man marking Arteta.
If we play 4-4-2 it could really shake them up and show that Moyes means business.
I'd rather us go for the win and lose after 90m than draw.

    Howard
    Coleman Jags Distin Baines
    Mirallas Gibbo Fellaini Pienaar
    Anichebe Jelly

It wont happen, but I hope thats the starting XI

I think Gibson could be the ideal captain. Strong, vocal, consistent. All the other choices are at the end of their careers or too inconsistent. Otherwise it would be Heitinga.

I think Jelly would do well partnering with Vic. We saw against Spurs how Cheebs can hold up the ball; now if he'd learned how to lay it off more instead of going for glory - would free up Fellaini to drop back and boss the midfield. Jelly just needs the ball played to him more.

    Howard

    Coleman Jags Distin Baines
Gibson Fellaini Mirallas Pienaar Anichebe Jelavic I reckon this would be a strong team.

Like to see Oviedo in for Pienaar.

Jelavic for Fellaini is a no brainer isn't it?

Unchanged otherwise, even if Jags is fit. If you keep a clean sheet v the champions you don't change your defence imo.

I'm not at the 'if moyes goes' stage. I'm at the "thanks for everything Dave, hand in the keys to your sponsored car at reception on your way out"

I am actually desperate for martinez to come in, a breath of fresh air, has a footballing philosophy, an eye for a player, the ability to operate and manipulate players who earn a fraction of the salary that our internationals do.

Above all I don't think he has ideas above his stations, which I think Mr Moyes does. My only concern is that does Martinez have enough authority about him??? If not then he would need a sturdy assistant.

Moyes has had a low transfer budget but higher salary budget, Martinez has had low in both but played far more expansive football. I believe he could get a better perfromance out of our current squad and we would see the likes of barkley, vellios and duffy feature.

If Moyes goes... We'll move on. We will get another manager and we will continue as we have a decent squad.

Some people talk as if he is the only manager who can keep us going. I think that's pretty naive.
We have had some shit managers, but they also had some shit players, which hand in hand will be shit results.
If a decent manager comes in, and we can attract decent managers I'm sure, with our squad of decent players we will be fine.

I'd thank him for all of his hard work, the days out at wembley, the odd derby win, but Everton is bigger than David Moyes.

I think any player who turns his back in open play on a misplaced pass is not fit to wear the shirt. He didnt want to know and had no desire to win the game as things weren't going his way - and he wanted everyone to know that. On £70,000 a week to do that is an absolute insult to the fans who pay the best part of a days wages to watch that.

Osman was poor, however he didnt act like a primadonna. It would have hurt him. Just like Phil Neville will be hurting.

Assessing and dropping players based on whether they are good enough is one thing, quitting is another. I cant stand Phil Neville as a player - however the worst thing I can level at him is that he isn't good enough to wear the shirt. Fellaini's attitude stunk on Saturday and he expects us to take it. Instead of leading the fight he was the first to quit - bad. For a player of his talents he has let his club down.
