How on earth did we get from the sharp, perky team that beat Man U in the first season, and even thrashed Sunderland early on this season, to the lame ducks we are now. Virtually the same players. Oviedo, McCarthy, Mirallas, Baines, Coleman are shadows of their former selves.

Ok. Moyes inherited a side that won the league and had all the league and cup winning coaches in place...he got rid of them. He had the advice of Sir Alex Ferguson, he didn't take it. Quite stubborn eh? Van Gaal has had to start again. Different scenario. Not a fan of Van Gaal by the way, so not defending him. No interest in the at all.
 
While you say Moyes had a better record at United than Van Gaal, it's true that he just beats him on win ratio. Well, Martinez currently beats Moyes win ratio at Everton. So what?!
 
The other thing I'd say about Moyes/Martinez is that we often hear how Martinez is out of his depth and we should go for someone who knows how to win cups/leagues. Yet a section of our fans want Moyes back who failed at that level and through 11 years with us shown us what his maximum level is. Why on one hand do we say that we shouldn't settle for mediocrity, yet on the other hand we want to appoint a proven mediocre manager? I don't get it! We want to finish in the top 4, but we want to appoint a manager who, including a year at the Champions, only finished top 4 once in 12 years?
 
I have no issue with Moyes, grateful for the stability he brought to the club. But he couldn't take us further. There's no point going back to him. Aim higher than that.

I don't rate him at all. I can't help but feel that the faith that Wenger showed in him was misplaced. His career has totally stalled since the 8 - 2 thrashing by Man Utd a few years ago. He can't even get that many games for his national team. Much rather we went for Foster, Sirgiu, Ospina or Diego Lopez if Real get rid.

Barkley seems to have forgotten that he has 10 team mates out there.

Sirigu is a quality keeper. 29 is a perfect age for a Keeper - if it went well he could be our keeper for 6 years. Snap him up - he's being doing a great job for PSG. I'll cream my knicks if this one comes off.

At 29, a Goalkeeper is prime. I completely agree for the future, but if you want a decent 5/6 years, then Sirigu is a class keeper.

Tonight, basically, after we scored, we just had to not concede three goals. We couldn't do it.
