Blue 250 I played in the 1950's, 60's and early 70's. No one dived, if anyone had done even their own team mates (and the ref's) would have laughed at them.

Not just a legend but a true sportsman.......Saurez will earn in a week more than Dixie did in his entire lifetime!

I wonder if Dixie ever dived in his life, where did this disgusting habit come from.

People used to be too proud to dive!!

If SAF was still there, they would have been given a penalty at the end there. It's not only other teams that no longer fear OT; neither do the refs.

I think he'd be a decent enough addition to the squad, he chips in with goals and will definitely get a few assists.

I think Heitinga out and McGeady in as a fairly straight forward swop would be decent business for us.

He could turn out to be a very good addition. I think he would be a better option than Naismith, and it would give us the option of moving Naismith on in the summer without weakening the squad to much.

He may not be a signing that will set the world on fire, but we have to cut our cloth according to our finances. His addition will freshen up the squad this month and sometimes that's all you need from a new signing or two.

Fuck stats? They always speak the truth! Is Mirallas has the most assists, it means that he has created chances for his team mates, just as Lukaku has scored the most. Another stat for you. Everyone is just beating down on Mirallas for no reason except that he isnt as good as last year.

We only have 4 points out of 3 games. Lost points in 2 very winnable matches, Sunderland and Stoke. Its not just Mirallas fault.

Old guy went to his first football match for years. At the turnstile he was asked for £30 quid. 'I could get a woman for that' he protested. 'Aye' said the guy on the turnstile, 'but you wouldn't get 45 minutes each way and a pie and a pint in the middle'.

What is your best Christmas moment relating to Everton this year?

For me it has to be Phil Thompson having to say something nice about Everton on Sky Sports News.

He tried to wriggle out of it but he couldn't ....

    Q. "Is Seamus Coleman the most improved player/right back in the premier league?"

    A. "No. He has always been great"

    Thanks Phil LOL

When Martinez was with Swansea his philosophy was when we have the ball they can't score. I thought he had a good defensive record there, he had a good players for that standard. As you get up the divisions you need to adapt the qualities you have. The more tools you have in your tool box, the more options you have to get the job done. I was shit scared when he came to us because I envisaged us winning/losing 4-3 etc... I will try to do a Hafnia-ism (sorry Haf!) Moyes bought himself a kit car but most of the parts were missing though. He put part after part in with great diligence, always being careful not to over spend on extra parts he needed to buy in. When the time came to race it at the race track, he was cautious, never willing to go toe to toe, always willing to coat tail the leaders as he did not want to crash his car, he just was not willing to risk it, just stay in contention and hope one of the leaders come off. A "works team'' sees how well Moyes handles his car, treating it with respect and never try to crash it. Martinez takes over Moyes old car, looks under the bonnet and says "ooooh'' bet this will go like a rocket if I only just adjust this and twiddle with that, while I'm at it why not change that as well. When Martinez gets on the track he just goes for it, always believing in him self, gliding the car around corners and winning the toe to toe with the top boys, classy driving from someone who used to drive a Talbot Sunbeam, who is now in this purring speedster who will end up driving for the best formula 1 team. There,it's the best I could come up with and I hope Haf will approve!!!!

their decline coincided with a drop in form of Lukaku -
same thing as him leaving just in another way -
point is we need to get next years striker in place as soon as possible - preferably in January

The day after my oldest son passed his driving test, he drove about 50 along a street with a 35mph limit. He was stopped by a police car, and the police officer was very rough on him. He pulled him out of the car, slammed him against the car, and really shouted at him - as well as issuing a speeding ticket. It scared the daylights out of my son - which, of course, was the intent of the police officer. Honestly, he was being cruel to be kind. Twelve years later, and my son hasn't been speeding since.

I also agree about max hp based on age. I don't know how many times, around here, I've read a sad news report of a teenage who wrapped their parents' sports car around a tree. A friend of ours, a nurse, was driving behind a teenager on one such occasion, and he died in her arms. Such a waste of a life.

We would need to win all our home games, the Anfield Derby and probably the Chelsea game. I expect a lot of draws between the other contenders and Liverpool. If we are still around the top four in April I might start thinking we could go all the way. Whatever happens I have had more fun these last four months under Matinez than the last four years under the Wizard.
