Good player. Don't want us developing Arsenals youth players when we have our own waiting to kick on though.

I can see him back here in January if he's not getting enough action/making a big enough impact at Barca. (May just be wishfull thinking though.)

European qualification again, and some entertaining football, and some big wins. A trophy and I'd be even happier.

Best post I've seen on this site and agree with every word of it. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

That's like needing a new babysitter and having the choice of Gary Glitter or Rolf Harris.

I feel your frustration man I really do. First thing I do in the morning is come on here & check to see if there's any movement in the transfer market only to be disapointed day after day. Fuck the world cup it doesn't come close to quenching my thirst for football during the summer, only Everton can. Thing is, year after year the bulk of the business is done last minute. As frustrating as it is that's the reality of the situation. If deadline day comes & goes & we haven't done the necessary business I'll be first on here kicking off but until then we have to trust that Bobby & Bill know what they're doing. What's the alternative? Support another team with more money? Fuck that! None of us chose after all, we were chosen.

I just don't see a player that does anything particularly well tbh. Everything is bang average in my eyes. I see a player that just floats through games and doesn't really contribute in any sense - defence or attack. It's funny you compare him to McCarthy because I love him!

Maybe he will fit in better with our team, only time will tell (I do think we'll sign him). I'll not be happy the day he signs but I'll give him a clean slate once he's on that pitch for us because he'll be one of us then.

Apologies if this sounds like a blueroom thread and emotional out-pour, Im blaming it on the wine, but today just added to the Buckaroo that is my love for the game and my parallel growing distain for it....

For me football is all about technical abilty, good defending, exciting attacking and a physical contest. A mix of everything and the only evolutions acceptable to me are physical attributes, mental development, technical ability and fair fucking play.

Over the last decade, most probably more, its become less of a sport and more of a Hollywood show. More conning, more cheating, more "winning fouls" - extenuated by the true geniuses of the game who would rather get notoriety from their actions or unfair advantages by deception / assault (in the case of tonight for example) than their actual abilty - "desire to win" is a bullshit excuse.

I cant give up on my love for Everton, I dont have a choice. But the sport is supposed to be something to look up to and honestly at the moment, Im not sure I would bring up a child following football - its just a bad example of ethics!

Something has to be done. Why cant we have the same level of respect as rugby or the NFL or hockey, where the rules of the game are enforced and respected!

Ive got a multitude of ideas of how to improve, but how?

    Anyways, anyone else this frustrated?

Jags is going nowhere, nor should he. I do think Stones will have his England spot by the end of next season though.

Six years to repair the damage?! How negative can you be? Hodgson's like the complete polar opposite of Martinez. This WC should be seen as positive experience for the players coming through, character building, can't believe he's come out with that.

Personally, I find you boring mate & struggle to understand how a supporter of another football team manages to spend so much time & effort winding real supporters of the forums team up!? If you post as much on YOUR teams forums as you do here then you can't have slept for the last few months. Don't disagree with everything you say just can't get my head around why you spend so much time & effort on another clubs forum? I've not got enough hours in my day generally to visit MY teams forum let alone waste oxygen on anothers.

Bit harsh Mike was my first tackle! Fair play though, just feeling Pete H's outgoing comment. Don't come on here for a row. Last you will hear from me on the topic.
