Sooo multi millionaire footballers needs subsidising? No, what needs to happen is a wage cap.

An idea would be to have brackets by age, i.e players under 25 can earn £50k a week max... that will give them a less incentive of jumping ship for money and focus on developing at their club.

I'd prefer him to go so that he knows he can fulfill his international goals while staying an Everton player.

By th way, sky need investigating. The shit they have pulled this season, almost as though Liverpool must win the league. It's been weird. At the receiving end of this has been ourselves.

Great to see two of our youngsters involved, although it makes it unlikely that Ryan Ledson will be on the bench again at Hull. It would have been good to see him get 5-10 minutes,

No it wasn't, but it was far from the utter disgrace you've described it as and I really do take offence at that. I was there and I wanted us to win, and I sang just like most of our fans did. The place went mental when we took the lead, it went quiet when they equalised because most fans were disappointed, fans sang to try and encourage the players again, we sang how Manchester is full of shit, it went quiet again when they took the lead, the place groaned when Naismith's effort at the start of the second half, and went deadly silent when they scored straight after to make it 3-1, the crowd got back into it when we pulled one back but the players just didn't capitalise, and the crowd was angry as fuck when Dzeko was clearly play-acting to waste time. So don't tell me how bad the crowd were when it's complete fucking shite.

Criticise all you want, but you've got it wrong and you're doing the majority of our fans a disservice. That's my last.

West Ham's win over Spurs has seen us qualify for the Europa League..

As it stands, Everton have qualified for the playoff stage of the UEFA Europa League. If Arsenal win the FA Cup, Everton will receive a bye to the Group stage.

I'm totally hacked off with Sky, Martin Tyler and Twat Neville have spouted negative drivel from the start. I am looking forward to being in Europe now, let's face it we would have taken this back in August. Majority view under RM was to finish 8th!

    can't compete with City...

we've lost to them once in the last 15 games we've played them at Goodison! Won the last 4 times we've played them at home.

Our home results against the top 7 sides this season:

    Beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd
    Drew with Redshites and Spurs

We've lost the same number of home games as Liverpool this season and conceded less goals.

It's a tough fixture especially with City gunning for a win that will likely make the title theirs but were more than capable of getting at least a point off of them.

But this is EXACTLY the reason they should invest! Is the city looking for new sources of revenue to make up its shortfall? If you do nothing but cut, cut, cut, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have to give companies and teams a reason to be on Merseyside. By adding 20,000 to the number of people who come, stay, and spend every weekend, Liverpool would pretty much guarantee many tens of millions more revenue every year. It's just plain ridiculous that they expect Everton to pay them. That's ass about face.

Disgareeing is good, this place would be boring otherwise!

I'm just worried about us buying Lukaku for that sort of money... got a bad feeling and really can see why Jose loaned him out...

For that money I would want to be buying Lallana - Liverpool will be very strong if they get him.

I would go for Bony over Lukaku any day.

We talk about young potential but we have all forgotten the Owens and Rooneys. these guys were raw at 16... by 19 or 20m they were established players. Maybe not at thier peaks but they were first choice players.
Lukaku is not a first choice player... hes been loaned out.

Can i see him getting better? yes of course i can, but i cant see him becoming a Drogba. Drogba had footballing ability at 16 and got better. Lukaku has relied on his size and is not going to get any better. at his age he should have a better first touch, better ability on the ball and should be able to tie his own shoe laces.

Bony is all round a better footballer.

People are arguing the same about Jerry now and i have to agree with them. were not talking about a 17 year old breaking into proffesional football, were talking about a player that has had possibly the best tutorage you can get at Barca! he should be better by now.

At the same time there are a lot of late bloomers! players that didnt look much when they were teenagers or early twentys but then exploded in thier late twentys.

Its just should we take the risk or not?
Personally 15m would be worth it for me.

efc1111 reacted in David Moyes thread
He was never good enough, but the squad is full of prima donnas who think they're far better than they are. If they think a change of manager will solve the issues inherent in the squad then they're kidding themselves. Ferguson was brilliant at getting the most out of what are quite frankly unspectacular players (for the most part).

They're raving about Giggs - they were rubbish yesterday until the penalty, and Norwich offered nothing anyway. I'd love to see them finish the season well and appoint Giggs long-term. That would be fantastic.

"I dont believe a lot of the comments in that Daily Mail article. Moyes wouldnt stand for that sort of crap for starters, he certainly didnt here and I dont for one second think he has gone soft since joining Utd.

I can imagine a few players werent as happy with Moyes' regime as they were with Fergusons and not brining in more of his own players probably didnt help in that regard."

The squad is full of egotistical wankers who have a history of behavioural issues. The Daily Mail is fascist garbage but I believe what is being reported in this case.

They have all the 'names' though, so they wouldn't dare exclude them from international tournaments, how bad would that look

    It's ridiculous.

I'd limit major tournaments to teams who fall within the FFP rules. Those who don't, cant compete. Simple. It'll soon turn their thoughts around.

Plus, if a fine is all they'll get and they can still compete in the major tournies, teams with unlimited resources, will probably continue breaking the rules because the pay off is soo much better.

I posted a couple of days ago what everyones preference would be on the situation, and I dont think anyone else wanted anything than to beat City, even if that means consiquently that Liverpool win the league.
