With Gana it’s a case of…. Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good argument.

Doucs for me. Was all over the place… for once in a good way.
Set the pace, scored a goal, hit the bar and was a handful all match. -

Go watch the replay. Jensen was unmarked on the right because McNeil trotted back. He had time to cover but didn’t. Absolutely he was culpable.
Ye agreed. The others tried and missed tackles, and Branthwaites clearance was rushed. But leaving players gives them an easy time.
But he is lacking fitness and would usually bust a gut to get back.

Starting to see more and more of him recently. Very good game form Onana.
had a Gana moment where he gave the ball away and we nearly conceded, but I thought that his only slight all game.Broke play up and linked up well. Seems to be getting more confident.

Stick up for him a lot as you all know.
But what a strange game he had. For the most part he had a good game. Stopped them playing and controlled the middle.
Could have easily had two assists as well.
But gave the ball away in the same position twice very cheaply, one of which nearly ended in us conceding.
And I know he is known for his non goal prowess…. But yesterday he took that to a new level.
A very Naive game from him. -
Much better from him yesterday. He has been disappointing to this point. But yesterday I thought he was calm when needed to be and has started passing the forward. That’s exactly what we need.
Like Bailey said, nothing that stood out as such, but seemed to look after the ball better.
And a nice through ball for Doms goal.

1st point - yep.
2nd point - Young’s a useful player - I want Patterson/Harrison to be the first choice partnership but don’t get all the hate for Young - one of our few players who is comfortable in possession, bags of energy, versatile and actually has a bit of know-how. He’s not a long-term option but is valuable in the short-term.
Evertonians need a scapegoat - it’s what we do.
Thought he had a good game to be fair. Very composed and also got the ball forward for us.

Thought we were really good all the way through.
Created chances non stop and didn’t really give much away… other than….Gana giving two balls away right in our third.
Onana giving a ball away right outside our penalty area.
And McNeil playing with the ball to much and giving them an opportunity. But other than that and their goal… did they actually have any other real efforts?
Strange reading back this thread though. Sounds like we were awful up until the second goal reading this haha. But I honestly thought we more than deserved to win.
Come on… we battered them off the park.
Not surprised to hear how bad they were, because that’s the only reason we ever win.
Fantastic performance and a thoroughly deserved three points.

I don’t think any are to be honest. As fans we all want the best for our club.
I clapped Lukaku for the goals he scored, nothing to do with him wanting out and making demands. For that he received my criticism.
I have paid to watch us while we are at the top, and I’m paying to watch us while we’re at the bottom. Because I am a massive Everton fan.
I don’t support Bill, as I didn’t support any other chairman before. It’s always been the club for me. If we get relegated…. I’ll be supporting a championship team. If we get relegated again…. I’ll be supporting a league one team.
I’ll continue supporting the club I love till the day I die I guess.
Starting with the resurgence this afternoon….. COYBs!!!!! Let the climb begin!!!

This is why I don’t get the fans that are against us banging crosses into forwards. That was the golden age of football. Players wore their hearts on the sleeves.
I watched the U21s with Harrison the other night. He just got the ball and ran at them time after time. Got tackled a lot, but knew that he only needed to get past them once to create a chance.
The best wingers used to wear defenders down.
Fans these days will start criticising if a player gets tackled twice in a row though.

I agree.
However, would you describe the Bundesligue as entertaining, globally appealing and won by a variety of clubs every year?
I do see what you mean mate, but don’t think we’re that far away ourselves.
The last ten years especially they se to have had a good few teams being successful.
I do enjoy the football though. I’m a fan of fast paced pressure football, crosses being banged in, so gets putting pressure on full backs. I would rather watch us in the 80s than Man City today.
I recognise that City are an amazing team. But hate possession football and find it slow and tedious.
Kills me to say it, but the beat football in recent years was when the shite won it with their non stop pressure and lightning fast break football.

I get it. I've just lost all patience. Well until kick off Saturday where I'll spark up some hope that today's the day
With you there mate. It’s hard to keep up optimism when we keep get kicked back down.
But Matts right. We are creating now at least. We just need that elusive first win to let the boys know they can win. -

Wouldn’t work unless only millionaire fans joined.
Just do the maths. Your average fan could afford what, say £1500 a year?
How many would realistically back it? Maybe 30000?
Thats 45m. I mean that’s enough to pay wages really. And 30000 fans paying that may also be unrealistic as would they then need to cough up for season tickets as well? If so that number comes down dramatically. This shows just how unrealistic it’s become to run a premier league club. Absolutely disgusting money.

I agree with Bailey. Very tidy without doing anything special. Not to say that’s a bad thing though, he had a good game.
But I do worry that when we played him in the middle a few games ago, he was a passenger. Had his worst game for us. He needs that space out wide.
He could play in the middle, but not central. He needs someone doing the graft for him smack bang in the middle.
