sounds to me like Dyche dished out some home truth that everybodies got to get are shit together, pull together and roll up sleeves to get this job done themselves. No magic wand coming.
Fair do's to his management of them and fair do's to the players for rolling those sleevs up. 4 wins in 5 is good going when your under the kosh.
Absolutely.
Over the past several years, it's been common place on here to question the players, they don't care, they aren't playing for the club etc etc. I reckon most of us have made the call.
All we wanted was for the players to show fight, dig in and give us 'something'.
OK. It took a slap around the bonce to get it across. But we got the results. HR can deal with the rest....

I’ve always maintained that we wouldn’t go down and have always said the 3 to go down would be Sheffield, Burnley, and Luton, and the 3 that come up next season will be the same 3 that go down. But that doesn’t in any way make me feel any better we have been absolutely terrible this season, and if people believe that the mark of a good season is too avoid relegation then crack on, but for me I’ve been embarrassed at some of the football we’ve played and won’t be looking at this season or last as a success.
Pretty sure you haven't always maintained that position.
IIRC, you were calling for Dyche to be sacked several times otherwise we'd go down?
I'm terms of success...many of us (obviously wronguns, aren't we?!) define 'success' based on the current reality of where the club is. Many of us nutjobs, at the beginning of the season, defined 'success' as not having to worry about relegation. Maybe 10th at best, down to 14th but clear of relegation with plenty of games to spare.
Of course, the points deductions reshaped our reality. So, again, should reshape what we define as 'success'.
Non of us want this to be our reality season after season. All of us want to get back to the days of defining success as pushing at the top and winning stuff.
Backing your beliefs with how many years you've supported the club, 'I've seen this in the 80s...', I expect the School of Science...is fine. But makes no difference to the current reality the club is in. It doesnt make you a bigger fan than those who accept where we are. Or that we've seen no progress in over 30 years.
One little step at a time...otherwise we lose our sanity

Got to keep him!
Love the wee man.

Regards PSR...we still have a charge hanging over us regards stadium interest payments and their accounting.
This one is due into next season but could result in a points deduction as it is part of this year's fiasco.
But....we've tackled bigger shits so we'll be sound

It must be lower (for one of the shite euro comps) because that stat would suggest that 10th is good enough for Europe.
(11pts from Bottom 3, but 10 pts from euro)
....I think the point is to add our points deduction back on. Which, let's ne honest, we need to do to have a fair assessment of the season.

I thought he mostly struggled in all honesty.
Glad you said that...I was starting to think I'd missed something.
Although I don't think he struggled as such. I thought he did OK considering it was his first start etc. Decently OK.
Plenty of energy and enthusiasm to start with. Thought that faded in the 2nd half...as expected. It's bound too.
But I can't remember seeing anything that made me think 'Wow, what a kid'!
Hope he gets more chances though. Like any player, needs a run in the team.

You think that's bad? We'll have half of them for next season if we're lucky and no budget to improve for a couple of windows. The thin squad is about to be turned into graphene. Just hope it's as tough and durable!
Yep. It's gonna be messy for a few years yet. We really could do with our scouting network ramping up the search for good younguns.
-
Phew. Another 3 and a clean sheet.
We looked much better in the 2nd half, looking for the goal. Once we got it, we took the pace out of the game.
4 wins in the last 5. With 4 clean sheets.
Christ. The fuckin club.
Anyway, safe for another year. Without the points deduction we'd be level with Brighton in 12th.
Hopefully, all the shit off the pitch can get sorted and allow us, as a club, to focus on moving forward.

What the fuck are VAR doing?
Except zapping the energy out of Premier League Football.

Great opportunity for young Chermiti.
Look forward to seeing him get some decent minutes.

Makes you realise how tough this job is at the moment.
A few games away from the end of the season...several players running out of contract...not knowing what you can/can't do as you don't know who will own the club, what approach they'll take, what your budget will be...
Fuckin terrible.

It's been a fucking ride but with 4 games remaining, that's progress right? Keeping in mind we should be tied with Palace (same W/D/L and GD) in 14th and sitting comfortably.
Most of us wanted a season of simply not worrying about relegation. With 10th being awesome and 12 - 14th more realistic.
See how many points we get and then add on the deductions for a fair appraisal.

Listen, fairs fair.
This thread gets red hot when we lose.
It's been, rightly, roasting at times.
That's now 3 wins in 4 with 3 clean sheets.
As said previously, let's limp over the line and judge it at the end of the season. Although, we should be safe now.
But...fair play to Dyche. Considering he's lost the changing room, the players don't want to play for him and all that...

Glad to see him getting back to his best.
Hope he has a good run and makes his season look a bit more respectable.
Long overdue run of goals...could have done with more but it is what it is.

Thank fuck for that! We don't see enough of them!
Safety surely sorted for another season

Sour grapes from Forest or are they just grasping for straws at this point?:
Mate, if some of those decisions didn't go our way, we'd be fuckin fuming.
Just shows we're not the only club that thinks the PL has it in for us

It seems mega scary to me how 777 seem to be scampering around to raise the finance. I say this because our finances already seem to have many tangled involvements. 777 appear to be bringing even more to the table.
Just hope 'something' gets sorted asap to at least allow Thelwell and Dyche some sort of scope to plan for next season.
