fuckin madness...did they give you a reply to that blue?

Yeah they did mate. The woman on the phone was very blunt and said its our policy that has been instigated by the police. So in other words the police have made them take up the policy. I can see why in some ways, because if you imagine when they play united, the shite etc who have a massive following the rest of the ground would sell out but with the away fans in the home stands. But madness if you actually wanted to go and see your local team play and you havent been before!

We did beat a city team, however... Neville was shocking and Cahill was game without really offering too much.

Totally forgot about Donovan, would agree with mike, him over drenthe who can come on with 30 to go.

I think we need to be mindful that it was a spirited performance against a good team on a bad day, our ball retention was poor. Against Wigan we will have far more possession and should utilise the players who are creative and offer a goal scoring threat. Wigan will try and do what we did to city.

Shouldnt the players already at the club be given a chance before the new boys. Stracqualersi's earned his place for next week and it would be inconceivable to drop him for Jelavic. Donovan although not outstanding still done enough to keep his place in my eyes as well.

What!? That's luda', how do they expect to ever get new fans?

Roy Keane complained of that recently in an interview in the Sunday Times.

One game he was lucky to have a sympathetic steward and the second time he was refused. He offered to buy a season ticket and the lady had him escorted out by security. Naturally Keane commanded the security guys to "get your hands off" and stormed off.

Dropping Cahill and Neville isn't exactly controversial - they have been poor. Donovan gets the nod from me, forgot about him (although he was poor the other night)

Pienaar playing means Neville being dropped, fair enough IMO. Jelavic playing means Cahill dropped. I had straq down to start, he and jell could work well together.

I agree, dropping Stracq would be a disgrace, his showing the other night was like something from yesteryear, the standing ovation when he went off, not since the days of big Dunc has an Everton forward had that sort of praise, BUT then we have dithering Davie in charge, and you would'nt put anything past him, none of us thought he would dare drop Duffy but he did, and it worked in the end, but no harm in Neville or Cahill, Neville contributes nothing to the team that we would'nt miss if he was'nt here. We have had some positivity in our game lately, so i dont think no one can wait anything else than win here. Its gonna be tough game anyway and i dont think we will get 3p easily. They have their last chances to start fighting against relegation, so they are probably workin their asses off. But thats why i think its gonna be entertaining game and we will get next win from there. We also have huge support out there, players know that and dont wanna let fans down.

About starting lineup, i think Peanuts is full match fit atm(may be lacking a bit of match practice) and will start left side, Drenthe is going to bench. I wouldnt definitely drop Straqu, hes impact for us has been tremendous. Dunno, does Moysie start Jelavic yet, but if does we have to start with 442. I were shocked that Duffy were replaced with Hibbo, but he played that well in cb, that i dont think we see any change on our back four. Donovan is just a short spell with us, so i cant see he would be dropped, he has also assisted our last 3 goals.

Howard

Nev-Hibbo-Johnny-Baines

Donovan-Gibson-Felliboy-Peanuts

Cahill/Jelly-Straqu

On the issue of tickets, I see a few problems with the process...

1. You can't buy tickets if you have never bought from them before.

2. How do you buy a ticket, if they won't sell to you because you've never bought a ticket before.

Other than that, I think it works. doh.gif

As Jona says,

C'mon Hafnia, seriously, do you see Moyes playing two up top away from home?

For me for Jelavic to play means Stracq will be dropped. The only two that didnt perform well enough to keep their place was Neville and Gibson, but neither play in the new boys positions, and Moyes to change formation is possible but very unlikely to include players in their right position to make Cahill and Neville dropped with the other 2 coming in

Judging by twitter Neville plays, has his post match snack and ice bath on his agenda for the day... One way or another he should not be on pitch, at right back hibbert gets the nod from me, at centre mid he is not even 5th choice for me.

Gotta give straq and jelavic the nod, straq was taking up cahill positions the other night, he looks like he can drop and hold up the ball. So want to see a strike partnership.

him and cahill are just garunteed places in the team it seems, it drives me mad, Neville should be nowhere near that team.

I think it will the same team, and with the exception of Neville it probably deserves to be. I suppose Pienaar might start, but I expect Moyes will want to make him think that cant just waltz straight back into the team. I imagine both the new boys will come on at some point.

While Hibbert did well against City, I dont think he was really tested. If he does start it will be interesting to see if he carries on in the same form.

EFC: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Fellaini, Pienaar, Donovan, Gibson, Cahill, Denis

no nev...distin straight back in...pienaar starts

Not disappointed with that team to be honest.

Cahill and Straq did enough to keep their shirt on Tues - if it doesn't work Jelavic can be introduced. Pienaar straight back in - think this will help Cahill and strikers in general.

Only disapointment for me is that Distin slots straight back in. Both the guys that have come in have done a better job IMO.

Glad to see Pienaar start though, and that Straq & Cahill kept there spots as they did so well last week, and a similar performance from them two will cause havoc against Wigan.
