so will he play this team saturday then,no no chance,we have disrespected leeds and are getting what we deserve at the moment.

Coleman Heitinga Distin

Naismith Fellaini Mirallas Gueye

Anichebe

8/11 have all started in the prem for us. Oviedo had a cameo in the last game, and we've all been crying for Junior to be given a chance. Only weakened area is in goal and the goals weren't his fault. Poor performance from the players or poor instructions from Moyes are to blame.

hope we're not blamin the ref for this...lookin at the stats and the reports doesn't seem we've had much of a threat..winnable competition too..so disappointing

The ref has been gash, but the teams performance is no better. If the ref done his job properly it would be 2-1 to us. Their second goal came from a fk that was never a foul, and we should have had a pen.

All over, O'well Mickey Mouse cup anyway. Plus gives us more time to focus on the league.

Should have done what we did against Orient, field first 11 have the game tied up by half time then brought on some of the youngsters.

Embarrassing performance. Well done Leeds.

Hopefully this is our 'bad game' out the way and we can concentrate on Southampton now..

The only positive we can take from this is that we can be giving players a rest in the mid-week. It's going to be hard enough staying at the top with a small squad like we have but with us being out the cup we can keep our players fresh each week.

Tonight was gash and one of the worst performances I've seen Everton put in. If I was Moyes I'd make the whole team go over to the travelling fans and apologise, ther are no words to describe how half-arsed and piss poor that performance was.

Honestly, with that team we put out, you dont think we were capable of beating a mid table championship team?

The cup is different, and Leeds are a bogey side for us. Add together the fact they have an exellent manager in Warnock, and I expected a stronger team.

Historically they're a huge club, so don't get the mid table argument really. Bolton are also mid table.

We really do love the League Cup don't we? The complacency was shocking. The League Cup is not the most glamorous competition out there, but it's still a chance for silverware, and since most other teams use plenty of reserve players as well we could at least give it a better go. And it's not like we haven't had enough embarrassing performances in this competition in the past. We should know better.

Ah well...

well done to leeds they deserved to beat us.

We were a pile of shite tonight though. even when our big players came on, we still looked a mess.

Naismith was nothing like he seemed pre-season...in fact he didnt look good enough for the championship.

Heits...well i know i dont rate him as much as jags, but after that performance even his biggest fans will struggle to disagree. tonight he was even worse than saturday.

In fact the strange thing was that against a team like leeds where we needed to outfight them....the player that would seem the lightweight, Kev..was the one that at least battle back. though he was ineffective at his role.

And that second goal? where we just asleep?

All in all a pretty abysmal performance really.

Elland Road on a rainy/windy night, managed by Warnock - we were on tv because Sky saw the potential for a shock otherwise they would have had City vs Villa. Leeds may be a mid-table championship team on paper but they've knocked out bigger clubs before and they'll do it again. The team we put out tonight would have won in a 'football match' but the conditions played into their hands and not much football was played so to be honest that probably wasn't the best team to put out considering the conditions/occassion.
