Matt
I wonder who will win MOTM this week Steve_E, Aidan and Bailey
Droobie
I think Seamus did well, but gave it to Barkley for his overall performance.
Aidan
Barkley bossed the midfield and never looked out of place. If he performs like that, I can see him playing the majority of games this season. Then going to Man U for £20m.
Steve_E
Barkley of course. He was excellent and brought us back into the game. He did disappear once they leveled again and we lost control of the game and it became a more fast-paced end-to-end game. I refuse to believe this kid wasn't ready 6 months ago. Sibdane
Special mention to Coleman for the goal and assist. Matt
BedfordBlue
kWho gave it to Mirallas?... And what game were they watching??? Someone who clearly knows nothing about football he was way off his best today had to be Barkley Edited August 17, 2013 by BedfordBlue

He really was different class. Just shows exactly what a lot of people have said for a long time!

Mirallas
I'm guessing Mirallas! You racist! I think Barkley's performance was the most valuable Edited August 17, 2013 by Mirallas
SmashedCrab
Barkley today and its not even close, some of his passing today was phenomenal! He brings a level of vision and execution to the side that no one else has. In saying that, a game like this where we dominate possesion is perfect for him, its when we are under the pump that I fear he may still be a liabilty. Just as a sidenote, are people more or less excited about him as a prosect than they were Rodwell??

StevO
Not a bad start to the season, a home win next week and ill be happy. Ross played with a great freedom today, with Gibson behind him instead of Osman I'd expect even better. He is the one to watch this season, no doubt about it! Zoo
I can honestly say that I never bought into Rodwell. I never bought into the hype and still don't. A packet of crisp had more potential in the midfield than he did, it would certainly have covered more ground without getting injured. Droobie
I reckon Rodwell would have done better for us than Osman did today. barryj and chicagoblue

Zoo
Anyone can score a goal, he's never appeared to me like a footballer that was good enough for this club. SmashedCrab
Brett Angel
Rodwell looked the part, thats how he divided opinions... Fact is, he was the safest player av ever seen and i Dont like that Type of player... He also thought he thought he was natural with both feet. But he just looked too uncomfortable sometimes. He would have given us nothing in that game today.

Bailey
I actually think Martinez would love to have Rodwell back here for that role and whilst he never set the world alight here, he isnt that type of player and when he remained injury free he was one of the best and most consistent players at the club. pete0

edu1878
I gave it to Barkley, just because he was everywhere. Coleman did well though, and mirallas had one or two moments, but had a very poor match overall.
StevO
I think Rodwell would be outstanding in this side, if he could stay fit. Whenever he wasn't injured Mancini and Hodgeson both picked him, the lad has bags of ability. If he did stay fit I'd love us to bring him back.
