Pre-season: Tranmere (Away)

Following the game on twitter. As much well deserved praise as Stones got last year, there were a couple of occasions where he would play a bad pass in the back and get bailed out. He's young so it's nice to make those mistakes now and hopefully shake them off with more experience.

How did Coleman get injured? Hope it's not serious

End of Match 2-2. Goals by Naismith (Assisted by Garbutt) and Osman (Assisted by McGeady). Seamus injured his hamstring didn't look bad, but they took him out of the match as a pre-caution.

Overall I though Garbutt was MOTM in the first half. Looked real quick, defended well and attacked well in addition to his assist for the first goal of the match. Lundstram got better as it went. McAleny looked nice on the couple touches he had as well. The youngsters had us up 1-0.

2nd Half Stones was terrible. Responsible solely for the first goal, and both he and Alcaraz at fault for the 2nd. Seamus looked good, McGeady swung in many a nice cross. Sad that we couldn't beat Tranmere and Snods said we apparently lost our first pre-season match in Austria 2-1 so hopefully we can beat leicester and get some momentum going.

Whoever was in charge of the camera needs to go back to camera school, terrible coverage (in the highlights at least)!

Think that's probably because it was a purely EvertonTV production rather than our commentators over a larger TV company feed. They don't have the resources to cover it in the way we're used to. Next three games should hopefully be better because they'll be covered by a "proper" production team.

Just found out that Cole Stockton is my cousin! Should've known we were related with that classy, composed finish

Was a brilliant finish!

Funny that the OS report completely ignores the "assist".

"Naismith had earlier latched on to a pinpoint Luke Garbutt cross to open the scoring with a neat close-range finish, before Cole Stockton levelled with a fine chip."
