Back on the field now.

And we've just taken our third wicket - the big one of Gurbaz

That's the good thing about playing sides like Afghanistan - no matter how good a start they get you can always drag it back.

Afghanistan are a decent outfit. They got 272 for 8 against India.

If we keep them under that, we should be okay.

Maybe understandably, but playing very conservatively at the moment. Preserve wickets, build slowly. Tense overs.

Smart approach at this stage. 5 an over currently without risk. Go too hard now and you could be 4 down for not many runs.

Malan gone now and in real trouble. They are not pressuring the bowlers at all.

Soft wicket to give away that. Midnight here where I am though & work in 5 hours so I'm going to crash for the night. Hope Eng get over the line for you mate although I hope it's a last ball thriller just to stress out @Romey 1878

Don't get me wrong, Afghanistan have bowled very well but this has been an embarrassing showing from England all round.

Hopefully the team of Buttler and Mott is ended soon. I've said it before but I do not like it at all.

Awful display from the off. Deservedly beaten. Mentally not ready?
