His performance is closer to what i want from him as a standard template for how he plays. Forget the goals - he will score them all day. Great cross right on his bonce and a loose ball in the box - bread and butter.
 
It was his involvement and interplay that was much improved. The midfield were more effective because he was able to get the ball back to them. Makes the game so much easier.

did well, but honestly wasn't really tested. they had some set pieces (he did well) but bar that it was just a light day at the office. Baines was injured and Mori replaced him so I could see us going to 3 at the back for Hull if Baines is still out. More likely holgate comes back (unless he wants Jags Williams Mori instead).

In all fairness his touch is awful, his battling for the ball is awful, his right foot is awful! But I believe he's is being treated unfairly, look at history some of the great strikers in the premiership have all had a close link to another forward or No 10, we don't have that here, he is fairly isolated up front, there is no connection between him and Barkley, not sure who's fault that is, but he doesn't get the consistent support and supply he should, he is just symptomatic of Everton as whole, the potential is there, there is just a few pieces missing and it's proving difficult to find them!
