Phil Jagielka

Just in case it was missed....did anyone see that moment where Jags threw himself to the ground at the near post...he actually leads with his head!! You can see he is motioning his head towards the ball on the floor...it hit his right hand (lucky it was missed!).

But if that ain't brave enough...then you got problems!!! It's bloody mental to try and do that!!!

Scared of hand balling it and getting sent off, and missing out on some precious wages.

Herrara for a yellow bringing down Barkley, if Jagielka would have done similar at the end we could be talking about a final today. Captain Soft.

Herrera has tried a flick and miss hit, the ball then drops behind Jags and Herrara then managed to get a toe to it to prod it into Martials path . Jagielka read the flick and if Herrara hadn't miss hit it Jags blocks it

Yeah that's what he actually thought as he threw his head where others wouldn't put their feet. Tit.

Had already called you out for being a bully before seeing this. Fuck me what an absolute delight you are. Bet you have lots of friends who just nod and agree with you.

Pete read Ian Snodins comments about Jagielka and inwardly digest

Ian Snodin: Everton fans deserved more - but Blues restored some pride at Wembley

Absofuckinlutely Snods. Jags for an injured player was very good.

People may analyse my criticism of Lukaku and make parallels with Jags criticism....

Absolutely no parallels at all. We have a man we bought for £4m who has been a key player for the last 10 years... no noises of transfers, no interviews undermining the manager, steady Eddie who gets the club and it's traditions.

The other is a massively hyped player who's inconsistencies are troubling, his attitude very suspect, his commitment to the club never seen as being anything other than using us as a stepping stone for what he sees as a club not fit for his "talents".

Lukaku whatever you may think deserves his questions. It's not like he hasn't questioned us as a club. Cheeky bastard.

The criticisms of Jagielka made by a tiny minority of this board are bizarre and beyond rational.

It's mainly PeteO who because he also called Kane shite has continued to try and find reasons to call him shite despite actually proving to be very good indeed.

Jags is what he is. A good honest pro. He has his flaws but he is a true blue

Not a perfect defender, but there aren't many of those. He may be aging and we could see a decline, but at his prime there were probably only a few defenders in the league any better/more solid than him.

Harry Kane has failed at every club bar Spurs. Spurs have the best midfield in the league and with a better striker, such as Lukaku, they would have pissed the league. Meanwhile a team with a weak captain won't be lifting a cup of challenging for the league.

Now that's just silly. Kane was playing is Spurs u18s wasn't he?

I remember him playing for spurs and England u18s alongside our own headless chicken...what was his name...Hallam Hope.
